Sapphire Coast Anglican College is a wonderful place for young people to attend school. The picturesque grounds set in the countryside provide a calm and relaxing setting for a busy day of activities in and out of the classroom. The College has a fine reputation for assisting students to achieve their best in all endeavours. This is shown by the recent strong academic results in the HSC as well as

the outstanding performance across the College in a range of activities, including a wide range of sports and music. Our students enjoy well designed buildings and playgrounds with views across the valley and an abundance of sunshine and natural light. Students are encouraged and supported as they strive to reach their intellectual, physical, social, moral, emotional and spiritual potential in a balanced and disciplined way. Our Pre-Kindergarten students had a wonderful time enjoying fun learning activities in the classroom and capturing a special group photo on the slippery dip!

From creative play and hands-on learning experiences to making new friends and building confidence, every day is filled with excitement, laughter and discovery. It is a joy to watch our youngest learners grow, explore and develop new skills in such a happy and nurturing environment.

🌟 Year 3 Exploring 3D Shapes! 🌟

Our Year 3 students have been busy investigating 3D shapes and their features through a fun and engaging hands-on learning activity.

Students designed and created their own 3D objects before putting their engineering skills to the test by carefully balancing books on top to see which structures were the strongest. πŸ“šπŸ”ΊπŸ§Š

It was wonderful to see students comparing their creations, discussing their designs, and discovering how different shapes and structures affect strength and stability.

Well done, Year 3, on your creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills! πŸ‘βœ¨

🌟 Year 10 Students Explore the Health Industry 🦷πŸ₯

Our Year 10 students continued their Being a Health Hero journey with visits to TAFE yesterday and the University of Wollongong today.

Throughout the program, students explored a wide range of career pathways in healthcare, including Audiology, Dentistry, Aged Care, Nursing, Paramedicine, Laboratory Practices, and Medical Research.

Highlights included creating dental orthotics, stepping inside an ambulance, and gaining valuable hands-on insights into the many opportunities available within the health sector.

A huge thank you to the staff at TAFE, the University of Wollongong, and RIEP for their support and hospitality. Our students had an incredible three days of learning, discovery, and inspiration! πŸ‘πŸŽ“βœ¨

πŸ„πŸ₯› The Great Year 9 Milk-Off! πŸ₯›πŸ„

Today, the rest of our Year 9 Agriculture students visited Kimbers Dairy for The Great Year 9 Milk-Off.

With five enthusiastic competitors keen to test their milking skills, there was plenty of excitement throughout the day. Unsurprisingly, students from farming families had a slight advantage!

A huge thank you to Sammie Smith from Kimbers Dairy and Dr Jane Woolacott from Dairy Australia for hosting such an engaging, hands-on, and informative experience. Our students gained valuable insights into the dairy industry and the skills involved in dairy farming.

We have no doubt there are a few future dairy farmers in this group! πŸ„πŸŒ±
