Recently, we held our Academic Champions Breakfast, recognising the outstanding achievements of students across Years 7 to 12.

This special event is a highlight on our school calendar and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the commitment, persistence and dedication our students bring to their learning. It also reflects our shared belief in ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น.

It was wonderful to see our students enjoying the Mobile Library today. Reading in such a peaceful and beautiful environment was a relaxing way to spend lunchtime.

We hope to make the Mobile Library a weekly event and were delighted when a Year 11 student volunteered to help make this happen. See you again next week!

Congratulations to Luci W., who correctly identified ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ฎ๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’• ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’•๐’”๐’ƒ๐’š as the book that inspired a film that inspired the music. This one was a little tougher than yesterdayโ€™s!

Our Year 10 students recently had the valuable opportunity to participate in the RYDA Road Safety Education Program, supported by the knowledgeable and dedicated volunteers from the Rotary Club.

Through a range of interactive activities, students explored the importance of making safe and responsible choices as drivers, passengers and road users. They also heard powerful personal stories from people whose lives have been impacted by road incidents, providing a meaningful real-world perspective on the consequences our choices can have.

We were incredibly proud of the way our Beerwah State High School students represented our school throughout the day. They demonstrated respect, maturity and excellent behaviour while engaging positively with the presenters, volunteers and activities.

A huge thank you to RYDA and the Rotary Club volunteers for providing such an important and memorable learning experience for our students.

๐ŸŽ“โœจ JOYCE NEWTON OAM MEMORIAL BURSARY โ€” APPLICATIONS OPEN

An exciting opportunity is available for Year 10, 11 and 12 students living in the Glass House electorate who are considering further study, vocational training or an apprenticeship after school.

The 2026 Joyce Newton OAM Memorial Bursary recognises young people who are working towards their future and contributing to their school and community.

This year, students can apply through two pathways:

๐ŸŽ“ Academic Pathway
A $1,000 Concept IT Maleny voucher, recognition in Queensland Parliament and a Parliamentary dinner for the successful recipient and their family.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Trade Pathway
A $700 Mitre 10 Maleny voucher, recognition in Queensland Parliament and a Parliamentary dinner for the successful recipient and their family.

Students are encouraged to share their achievements, future goals and how the bursary could support their next steps.

Congratulations to all our incredible dancers who competed at Dance X Competition last weekend!

Just to name a few highlights โ€“ weโ€™re celebrating 2 x highest point scorers for our Senior and Junior Jazz, plus an incredible 8-time Regional Championship for our BDC troupes along with a number of regional champions in audition experiences and solos!

Next week, we celebrate how different voices and tales come togetherโ€”just like an orchestra! Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to enjoy a variety of competitions, games and special events.
