A different fun way to challenge our toddler friends on their scissor cutting skills today. They were very eager and excited when they cut it saying “I did it”. 😊 They persisted and never gave up.

Scissor cutting helps children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and hand strength. It also supports concentration, bilateral coordination and control, while building confidence and preparing children for skills needed for drawing, writing and other everyday tasks.

Miss Andrea has brought in an egg incubator for the kindy kids to watch and observe.
Learning about chickens and eggs gives children a hands-on opportunity to explore nature, life cycles and where our food comes from. Using an incubator allows children to observe the exciting process of eggs developing and eventually hatching into chicks, encouraging curiosity, patience, observation and a sense of wonder.

The Pre-Kindy children worked together to help make play dough as part of our exciting under-the-sea exploration. They measured, mixed and combined the ingredients, developing their confidence, cooperation and early mathematical and sensory skills. Once the play dough was ready, the children used their imaginations to create and explore different sea creatures, extending their learning through hands-on, open-ended play. This experience encouraged creativity, curiosity and meaningful connections to our under-the-sea learning.

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

The toddlers enjoyed exploring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they used screwdrivers and Allen keys to twist, tighten and loosen the screws. Working alongside their friends, they practised coordinating their hands and eyes, developing concentration, control and problem-solving skills. The experience also encouraged collaboration, persistence and confidence as the children experimented with how the tools worked and supported one another in their discoveries.
