A big afternoon of Rugby League is coming our way tomorrow as our boys take to the field for the Struddy Cup Quarter Final.

After a fantastic season, our boys finished 2nd in the Southern Pool with an impressive record of 5 wins, 1 draw and just 1 loss.

Tomorrow, they take on Bray Park, who finished 3rd in the Northern competition, with a place in the semi-finals on the line. It has been a season built on teamwork, determination and plenty of hard work, and now it all comes down to finals footy!

Parents and carers are very welcome to come along and support the team. For everyone’s safety, please make sure you sign in on arrival using the spectator QR code.

If you’re around tomorrow afternoon, come along, make some noise and get behind our boys as they take the next step in their Struddy Cup campaign.

Our Year 9 students are now making some important decisions about their senior subjects and future pathways for 2027 and beyond.

Next week, students and families will take part in individual SET Plan Interviews to help make sure subject choices match each student’s goals, whether they are considering university, TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment.

Parents and carers please remember to book your interview through the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀. When booking, select either the ATAR pathway or Industry pathway option that best reflects your student’s intended direction. These conversations are an important step in helping students choose subjects that support where they want to go next.

A quick reminder for families about Book Week - Wednesday 26 August - Book Week Dress Up Day!

Students can come dressed as their favourite book character, or wear a music band or singer T-shirt as we celebrate this year’s theme, Symphony of Stories. No need to spend a fortune. Homemade, borrowed and creative costumes are absolutely welcome. We just ask that all costumes are appropriate and safe for school.
.. we can’t wait to see which characters walk through the gates!

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡!

Our more experienced skiers made their way to the top of Karels T-Bar at Thredbo, 2,037 metres above sea level, and had the chance to ring the famous Thredbo Community Bell. The bell was installed to celebrate reaching the resort’s highest lifted point, and was inspired by a Japanese skiing tradition where bells are rung for good luck and to “awaken the snow spirits”.

It was a fitting finish to a week that has been full of grit, determination, courage, laughter and plenty of smiles.

From first-time skiers learning to stay upright to our experienced group making it all the way to the top, every student has been challenged, encouraged and given the opportunity to achieve something new.

And after a week that also included Canberra, museums, Parliament House, new experiences and new friendships, there will certainly be plenty of stories heading home with them.

Well done everyone. You earned that bell ring!

𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧-𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦!

And just like that, our 2026 Annual Ski Trip is wrapping up! From exploring the museum and Parliament House in Canberra to swapping sightseeing for ski boots and hitting the slopes, it has certainly been a week to remember.

There were first-time skiers finding their feet, plenty of tumbles, lots of laughs and, by the end of the week, a few students looking suspiciously close to professionals!

But this trip has always been about more than skiing. It’s also about learning outside the classroom, experiencing new places, meeting new people, building confidence and independence, and sharing experiences with classmates and staff that become part of the memories they take home.

They’re heading back tired, exhilarated and no doubt with plenty of stories of their own to share.

A huge thank you to the staff who made this experience possible and supported our students throughout the week. Safe travels home everyone. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back and hearing all about the adventure

𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘… 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗘!

Next week we celebrate Book Week 2026 and this year’s theme, A Symphony of Stories, is giving us plenty to get excited about!

We’re kicking things off on Monday at first break with a fabulous musical performance from our talented String musicians in the library for students to enjoy.

Then on Wednesday, it’s time for one of our favourite Book Week traditions… DRESS UP DAY! Along with our traditional Year 12 photo, we’re inviting all students and staff to get involved, have some fun and bring a favourite book, character or story to life. 𝘼 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧: 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡-𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮.

And to finish the week, we will welcome all of our students to join us in the Library at first break on Friday for our First Nations Deadly Dreamtime Stories.

From music to costumes, stories to culture, it’s going to be a fabulous celebration of the stories that entertain us, challenge us and bring us together.

Best suited to students who:
• Are considering university
• Enjoy academic and theory-based learning
• Are prepared for a strong study commitment
• Intend to complete the required General subjects

Best suited to students who:
• Prefer practical, hands-on learning
• Are interested in TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment
• Want to build work-readiness and industry skills
• May include Applied, General and VET subjects in their senior program
