✨ Tough Tray Sensory Fun! ✨📸
This month, our Nursery and Toddler children have been busy exploring a variety of exciting sensory experiences in our outdoor tough tray. Through hands-on play, children have been developing important skills while having lots of fun!
💦 Water and Ball PlayChildren enjoyed splashing, pouring, scooping, and watching balls move through the water. This experience supported hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor development, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of cause and effect. Water play also encouraged communication, social interaction, and teamwork.
🌈 Coloured Spaghetti PlayOur little learners loved exploring the bright colours and unique textures of spaghetti. This sensory activity encouraged creativity, imagination, and curiosity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand muscles. Children also developed language skills as they described what they could see, feel, and create.
🟢 Slime PlaySquishing, stretching, squeezing, and pulling slime provided endless opportunities for sensory exploration! Slime play supported fine motor development, hand strength, concentration, and problem-solving. It also helped children build confidence as they explored different textures and sensory experiences.
🌟 Through sensory play, children are developing their confidence, creativity, communication skills, and understanding of the world around them. We love watching our little and littlest learners explore, discover, and learn through play every day!
