🔹 Student Voice: Every Vote Counts! 🔹

Last term, students across Fremantle College were invited to cast their votes for their next Student Voice representatives!

With support from the Western Australian Electoral Commission, students experienced the voting process firsthand, heading to the polls to have their say on who would represent their year group and bring student ideas, feedback and perspectives to the table.

A big congratulations to everyone who put themselves forward for nomination and thank you to all students who took the time to vote.

A special thank you to the Western Australian Electoral Commission for helping bring this valuable learning experience to life.

🏎️ EV Challenge Race Day! 🏎️

After months of designing, building, testing and refining, our Freo Flyers finally put their electric vehicle to the test at the EV Challenge!

Race day gave students the chance to put their STEM and engineering skills into action, working together to problem solve, make adjustments and keep their vehicle on track throughout the competition.

A huge thank you to Fremantle Chamber of Commerce and Fremantle Ports for sponsoring our team and helping make opportunities like this possible for our students.

Well done to our Freo Flyers on a great day of racing. We’re already looking forward to the next meet later this year!

💙 Fremantle College Students to Represent WA in National Comp 🏐

Fremantle College is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Teagan (Year 11) and Keira (Year 8), who have been selected to represent Western Australia at the 2026 National State Championships in Melbourne.

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication they have shown throughout their water polo journey.

Congratulations Teagan and Keira, we wish you all the very best as you take to the pool and represent WA on the national stage these school holidays! We’ll be cheering you on all the way! 👏

🔹 Specialist Marine in Action 🔹

Our Year 10 Specialist Marine students have been putting their classroom learning into practice at the Marine Education Boatshed in Fremantle, as they work towards completing their Recreational Skipper’s Ticket.

After learning the theory during Specialist Marine classes, students have been completing their theory exams and, for many, getting behind the wheel of a boat for the very first time.

This year, 41 students are expected to achieve their Recreational Skipper’s Ticket, with 23 already successfully completing the qualification.

A great example of the practical skills and real world experiences our Specialist Marine students gain through the program.
