One of the questions Iβve been asked a lot lately is, βWhat will you miss most?β
The answer isnβt the recipes.
One will be the messages from parents saying, βCan you take a picture and send it to Meg?β
Because those photos are never really about the food.
Theyβre about a child who was so proud of what they created that they wanted to share it. Theyβre about confidence, independence, curiosity, and the joy of saying, βLook what I can do!β
They are proof that the learning didnβt stop when class ended. It followed them home, into their lives outside our studio.
After 12 years, Iβve received hundreds of photos. Every single one has made me smile. Not because of the brownies, pasta, cupcakes, or desserts, but because behind each photo is a child who believed in themselves a little more than they did before.
And honestly, thatβs been the greatest privilege of all. π§βπ³π΄π©βπ³π
