I provide specialist teaching and intervention to primary students (PP- Yr 7) with specific learning difficulties in numeracy and literacy (Sounds-Write Program). I have experience in boys education, the International Baccalaureate Programme and working with children who require support in Mathematics and English in both the mainstream classroom and small group intervention classes. I have been a
numeracy and literacy DSF intervention tutor for over 5 years. Availability
I work from my home office in Beaconsfield on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (during school hours). Programs
I use the Sounds-Write program and the Sentence Sense, Writing Matters Program in my Literacy sessions and a combination of Delta Math Intervention, Math Mastery, hands-on games and activities and a personalised program based on assessment outcomes in my Numeracy sessions. Insurance
I am a Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation of WA (DSF) registered tutor. It is a requirement of Cathy De Boni Tutoring that all clients are registered with DSF to ensure appropriate insurance cover. Please click on the DSF link below for current DSF membership fees. Families are also required to pay the $50.00 tutor-finding fee. I will refund new clients the $50 tutor finding fee that is charged by DSF when they pay for their first block of sessions. Please follow the link below to register with DSF, search for my name in the Tutor Finder and request contact. Alternatively, contact DSF or myself for further assistance. https://dsf.net.au/become-a-member
Prices
Sessions are $95.00/50-minute one-on-one session which includes a 5-minute parent handover and weekly homework pack. Students requiring tutoring in both Numeracy and Literacy will require two weekly sessions. Payment is required at the beginning of each term for the whole term and cannot be adjusted for things such as holidays as your term fee reserves your session time for the whole term. In extenuating circumstances, term fees can be split into two payments/term at the discretion of Cathy De Boni Tutoring. Cathy De Boni Tutoring does not offer refunds, catch-up sessions or credits for missed sessions for any reason including illness or holidays. Instead, an additional homework pack can be requested by the family.
