What a fantastic start to our Cadbury fundraiser!!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already sold chocolates, returned money, and supported our fundraiser so far. A special shout out to the families who have taken on multiple boxes - your support is making a real difference.

So far we have raised $500 towards our $4,000 goal and sold 25 full boxes. With 175 boxes currently out in the community in various stages of sale, we know there is still plenty of fundraising potential to come.

A reminder that families have until the end of Term 2 (Friday 26 June) to sell their chocolates and return funds to the College, though we may be able to extend this date into next term.

If you've finished selling your box and think you could sell more, we currently have 9 spare boxes available from the Front Office. First in, best dressed - just drop in to the office at any time, or give us a call on 8720 7555.

Returning funds is easy:
• Cash can be returned in the envelope provided in your chocolate box.
• EFTPOS payments can be made at the Front Office. If you're collecting an additional box, you can choose to pay when you collect it or return the funds once the chocolates have been sold.

Every box sold brings us another step closer to our goal of installing protective netting in our newly refurbished gym.

Just a reminder that this Friday is a Curriculum Day at BSC, followed by the King's Birthday Public Holiday on Monday.

While students enjoy a well-earned four day long-weekend, our staff will be engaged in professional learning, assessment and moderation activities to support the continued improvement of teaching and learning across the school. As all staff will be involved in these activities, the office will also be closed on Friday.

We hope our students, families and staff enjoy the opportunity to recharge, spend times with loved ones and perhaps catch up on a few things that have been sitting on the to-do list around the house!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday the 9th of June for the final few weeks of Term 2.

Today we celebrate the incredible Education Support staff who help make Bayswater Secondary College the place that it is.

From supporting students in classrooms, wellbeing spaces and inclusion programs, to assisting families at the front office, keeping our canteen stocked with delicious treats, working in our lab, supporting administration, technology and everything in between - our ES staff are at the H.E.A.R.T. of our school community.

Their care, patience, dedication, humour, compassion and willingness to go above and beyond every single day make an enormous difference to the lives of our students and staff alike.

Schools simply could not function without amazing Education Support staff, and we are incredibly lucky to have such a passionate, hardworking and caring team here at BSC.

A huge BSC thank you to all of our ES staff for everything you do for our students, our families and our community. We appreciate you more than words can say.

Last week, our Year 7 students stepped into the world of innovation at KIOSC as part of the Emergency Technology Program.

Across the day, students explored how technology can be used in real-world emergency situations and future-focused industries. They worked with Micro bits programmed as earthquake sensors, coded and controlled Sphero robots, and immersed themselves in a hands-on VR workshop that challenged them to think creatively and solve problems collaboratively.

It was fantastic to see our students embracing new technologies, stepping outside their comfort zones and developing the kinds of critical thinking, teamwork and adaptability skills that will serve them well into the future.

A huge thank you to the KIOSC team for providing such an engaging and inspiring experience for our students.

🍫CADBURY CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER!!🍫

Our 2026 Fundraising Committee is excited to be launching this year’s Cadbury Chocolate Fundraiser and we’d love the support of our whole Bayswater Secondary College community!

Over the coming weeks, each family will receive one Cadbury chocolate box containing a variety of chocolates to sell at 75c each or 4 for $3. Every box we sell will raise $20 for the school.

Funds raised will go towards the cost of installing protective netting across the ceiling of our newly refurbished gym - an important final piece of work that will help protect the new insulation and facilities for years to come.

If your family would prefer not to receive a box, please contact the Front Office before Monday 25 May.

If you think you may be able to sell more than one box, please let us know - we would be very grateful for the extra support and can arrange additional boxes. Likewise, if you are unable to sell a full box, any unsold chocolates can simply be returned to the office.

Our Fundraising Committee is always looking for additional parents and carers to get involved. Whether you can assist regularly or just lend a hand here and there, every contribution helps and is greatly appreciated. It’s also a fantastic way to connect with other families and support opportunities for our students.
