🏆 🧱What an incredible month for Sabit! 🏆🧱

We couldn’t be prouder of Sabit, who has had an outstanding month, taking home four awards across two prestigious industry award programs! 👏

At the HIA Awards last month, Sabit was recognised with:
🥇 1st Year Apprentice of the Year
🏆 Judges’ Excellence in Endeavour Award

And more recently, at the ABN Awards, Sabit added another two incredible achievements to his growing list:
🥇 Best Brick & Blocklaying 1st Year Apprentice
🏆 Overall 1st Year Apprentice of the Year

These awards are a fantastic recognition of Sabit’s hard work, dedication and commitment to his trade. It’s been amazing to watch his achievements continue to grow, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of his apprenticeship journey.

Congratulations, Sabit! What an achievement — and what a way to kick off your career in the industry! 👏🎉

Our Carpentry Apprentices have been hard at work constructing wall frames, demonstrating the skills, accuracy, and attention to detail that are essential on every building site.

From measuring and marking to assembling each frame, it’s all about getting it right the first time—and these apprentices are certainly rising to the challenge. Precision is on point! 👌

Meet our rising stars, Tyson and Nelson, as they begin their WorldSkills journey! 🌟

After months of dedication and hard work, these talented competitors took to the tools last week at the 2026 Perth Regional WorldSkills Competition, showcasing their skills, determination and passion for their trade.

Both Tyson and Nelson gave it their all over the two-day competition, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, professionalism and commitment they displayed throughout.

Congratulations on an incredible achievement so far, and best of luck as you continue your WorldSkills journey! 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand at the SkillsWest Careers & Employment Expo over the past few days. It was fantastic to meet so many students, parents, employers and future apprentices, answer your questions and chat about the exciting opportunities a trade can offer.

What a journey it’s been for Jason! 👏🇦🇺

Over the past two years, we’ve watched him grow into an exceptional bricklayer, developing not only incredible technical skills but also the physical and mental resilience needed to compete on the world stage.

After winning gold at the WorldSkills Regional Competition, Jason went on to achieve national success in Brisbane in 2025, earning his place at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai this September.

Behind the scenes, Jason and his trainer, Wayne Sutherland, have dedicated countless Saturdays and spare hours to perfecting every aspect of his craft. Their commitment has been supported by an incredible team, including Trade Academy WA, WorldSkills Australia, Brick and Block Careers, North Metropolitan TAFE, and many others across Australia.

Recent Global Skills Challenges in Wollongong and China have provided invaluable experience against some of the world’s best competitors. Jason has continued to impress, producing outstanding work and proving he’s ready to take on the very best.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved, Jason, and we’ll be cheering you on all the way from WA.
