Last Thursday, Joe from Rhythm Fun visited our kinder rooms. Joe has been visiting our centre for a number of years now & is an amazing entertainer!!! The children really enjoy learning about Rhythm, about instruments from different countries, & best of all having a go at playing the drums!!! We defiantly have some rockstars in the making!!!! 🥁

We’re proud to share that in 2022, our service was fortunate to receive funding from the Department of Education and Training to deliver our Early Childhood Language Program - Mandarin.

As part of this exciting opportunity, our teacher Lee completed language teacher training through The University of Melbourne, helping us create a rich and engaging language-learning experience for children.

Our Mandarin language program is woven naturally into our play-based learning curriculum, allowing children to learn through:
🎵 Songs and music
📚 Stories and storytelling
🎨 Creative arts experiences
🍳 Cooking activities
🎭 Cultural celebrations and workshops
🧸 Everyday routines and play experiences

Learning a second language in early childhood has many benefits, including:
✨ Building confidence and communication skills
✨ Supporting brain development and memory
✨ Encouraging cultural awareness and inclusion
✨ Strengthening listening and problem-solving skills
✨ Creating positive attitudes toward lifelong learning

We love seeing children explore language in meaningful, joyful, and hands on ways every day.
