Information from School Stream

Parents will have their apps upgraded as part of Phase 2, which will begin rolling out on Saturday, 22 August.

What parents are getting

A new look and feel. Updates, events and news are easier to scroll through, and your school’s logo now appears on push notifications so parents can see at a glance who a message is from.

One app for families at multiple schools. A combined feed across every school a parent is connected to, with the option to view each school on its own. No more switching accounts.

Parents can add biometric security. School Stream can be locked with a PIN or the phone’s fingerprint or face unlock, in the same way a banking app is. It is available to every parent under Settings → App lock, and it is the practical answer for anyone worried about school messages being visible on a shared or borrowed phone.

Screenshots are blocked (Android only). On Android devices the app now prevents screenshots being taken, supporting child safeguarding expectations around images and student information.

Language choice from the start. Parents pick their preferred language as they sign up, which removes a real barrier for families who do not speak English at home.

Parents will not have to log in again

Parents are to contact School Stream- not the admin office with any issues.
