❤️ Keeping our knowledge fresh and our children safe! ❤️

Last night, our amazing team came together for their CPR training! 👏🏼

Ongoing first aid and CPR training is such an important part of what we do as early childhood educators. It ensures our educators feel confident and prepared to respond quickly and appropriately should an emergency ever arise.

We’re incredibly proud of our team for continuing to build their knowledge and skills and for prioritising the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child in our care. 🫶🏼

A big thank you to our educators for coming this evening and to continue their professional learning — because keeping our little people safe is always our number one priority! 💕🩹

Samara has been such a wonderful addition to our team and has quickly become a valued member of the Sparrow Baxter family. She has created beautiful relationships with the children in Studio 1, helping them feel safe, supported and valued.

Samara is also a fantastic team player, always willing to jump in, support her fellow educators and contribute wherever she can. We really appreciate the positive energy and care she brings to the service each day.

A conversation can challenge the way we think. It can raise something we hadn't noticed. It can help us understand a different perspective.

But what happens next matters.

What can we change?
What support is needed?
Who needs to be involved?
What can we do differently?

This is where conversation becomes action.

And you don't need to have all the answers to start. Sometimes the most important thing you can say is:
“I'm not sure. Can we talk about it?”

Because a child-safe culture isn't built through one conversation. It's built through the conversations we keep having, and the action we take because of them.

Child safety conversations don't always look the way we expect.

Sometimes they're started by a question. Sometimes a change in behaviour. Sometimes it's an educator noticing that something feels different.

Our job is to notice, listen and make space for those conversations.

It’s the quiet observations. The check ins between educators. The careful documentation. The conversations that happen behind the scenes to make sure every child is safe, supported and heard.

It’s constant, intentional and always centred on children.
