The children (and teachers!) were wonderfully comfy and cosy yesterday as they enjoyed a Pyjama Day with a purpose! ๐ค๐งธ
Our Junior SRC did an amazing job organising the event, with everyone embracing their favourite PJs, dressing gowns and Oodies while raising an incredible $790+ for Stewart House charity.
There was plenty of learning, playing and cosy fun throughout the day - and thankfully the teachers (and Principal) didn't fall asleep on the job! A huge thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful initiative.

Our front office has come to life with new noticeboards for each grade level, show-casing the amazing learning and artwork of our students.
This week we shine a spotlight on some of the incredible artworks by our talented Year 4 students, and show how we can bring them to life using the free animation tools available on Canva!

Today is the start of Bullying No Way: National Week of Action (17โ21 August) - an important opportunity to reinforce our commitment to ensuring every student at Baulkham Hills North feels safe, respected, included and supported.
This yearโs theme, "Small Acts, Big Impact", reminds us that everyday actions like including others, showing kindness, checking in with a friend and speaking up safely can make a big difference.
Throughout the week, students will explore respectful relationships, inclusion, kindness and positive behaviour through daily discussions, our fortnightly assembly and a wristband-making activity.
We encourage families to continue the conversation at home by asking: โWhat small act did you notice or try today?โ Together, our small acts can make a big impact.

Yesterday our Year 3 and 4 students had a wonderful science lesson, learning alongside Year 9 & 10 High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) science students from Muirfield High School.
The Muirfield students were outstanding - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly mature as they guided our students through a lesson on Budj Bim, First Nations Eruptions Observations. It was fantastic to see our younger students so engaged (making volcanos out of spaghetti was fun!), curious and excited to learn from their high school peers.
Initiatives like this provide a wonderful opportunity to build connections between our school and Muirfield, inspire a love of learning and give students a glimpse into the next stage of their educational journey.
A huge thank you to the wonderful Muirfield High School students and staff - we are already looking forward to the next session together on Wednesday 26 August!

We think that getting everyone out the door, finding missing shoes, packing lunchboxes and arriving at school on time definitely deserves a coffee...and that's why weโre excited to have coffee vans at BHNPS three mornings a week, helping fuel our amazing parents, carers and teachers. Located in the admin block carpark on Girralong Avenue, we welcome:
*Mondays - Daniel at Spirited Coffee https://www.facebook.com/danieldematostheavenue
*Wednesdays - Crystal from Hills Daily Grind,
*Fridays - Wendy & Glen Escape the Ordinary
These are wonderful local businesses serving up your favourite drinks to start the day. Please come by to grab a coffee, take a breath and ease into the day. You deserve it!

Last night, our Performance Choir proudly represented Baulkham Hills North Public School on the iconic stage of the Sydney Opera House as part of the Arts Unit Festival of Choral Music โ Australis concert. It was an unforgettable way to celebrate Education Week 2026!!
Joining more than 700 students from primary schools across New South Wales, our own 35 talented singers became part of an incredible combined choir, performing a spectacular repertoire in one of the world's most prestigious concert venues. The Festival of Choral Music celebrates excellence in music education, bringing together outstanding young vocalists alongside exceptional instrumental and vocal performances from across the state.
Highlights of the evening included the uplifting performances of Circle of Life, Feelin' Groovy and the beautifully moving Northern Lights, with each piece receiving a warm response from the audience. Our students performed each song with enthusiasm, confidence and joy, showcasing not only their singing talents but also the teamwork, dedication and commitment that has been developed throughout the year as they have rehearsed each week.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs Drayson and Miss Law for their incredible organisation, leadership and expert music tuition. Their passion, dedication and countless hours of preparation ensured our students were ready to embrace this remarkable opportunity and perform at their very best.
Performing on the stage of the Sydney Opera House is an experience our students will no doubt remember for a lifetime and we are immensely proud of each and every choir member.
