The children’s sense of wonder will be supported through a play based learning environment stimulated by relevant principles, practices and outcomes. Through play we will educate children through a variety of experiences, based upon children’s skills, knowledge and understanding. Educators will use intentional teaching as a strategy in developing a child sense of belonging in group environments where they will construct conversations and reciprocal relationships with their peers. Equity, inclusion and diversity underpin the framework, as we are proud to be part of a movement of change by ensuring we provide a safe and relaxed environment reflective of the National Quality Framework (NQF) for our children, our families and our community, we will critically look at ourselves as educators and evaluate our beliefs and practices against the NQF. We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and value all cultures within our community. We emphasise the importance of a culturally diverse environment as we encourage continual family and community support, thoughts and ideas. We embrace diversity within our service and wider community for children to view this diversity with a sense of appreciation and wonder. The role of parents, families and the wider community is respected and supported as we strive to ensure stakeholders are active participants within all areas of the service. We believe that working in partnership with families is integral to ensuring continuity and progression in a child’s learning, development and future success. We will provide education and care through a variety of experiences, based upon children’s skills, knowledge and understanding. We believe best practice is fundamental in the provision of our education and care service. We will pride ourselves in executing high quality care in all areas of the National Quality Standards as we continue to critically reflect our practices. We aim to promote the education of sustainability to endorse a sense of responsibility, respect, empowerment, active participation, inquiry and social change to make a positive difference now and in the future. We as educators believe in a sense of belonging and uniqueness when focusing on the natural environment, living and non-living. We believe it is critical for young children to develop lifelong respectful attitudes towards protecting our environment and caring for all living creatures and creating a sustainable environment. Research tells us that children learn better in smaller groups, and where possible educators will seize these moments. Our mission is for all children to reach to their full potential now and in the future, while doing this they will explore: literacy, numeracy, creativity, sustainability and being, becoming and belonging.
