Congratulations merit award recipients

Our Garden Club has officially commenced, and our students are ready to get their hands dirty! From planting and caring for our garden to learning about nature and sustainability, we’re excited to see what our little gardeners grow this year. 🌿💚

We are so proud of our two students who represented Matthew Pearce at the Regional Finals of the Australian Premiers Spelling Bee via Zoom on Tuesday 11th August.
Both students demonstrated remarkable skill, composure and a love of language making them outstanding ambassadors for our school!

This morning, MPPS students were acknowledged for their outstanding athletic efforts during our annual school carnival. They were all issued with a ribbon for their accomplishments. Congratulations to you all as you progress to the next representative carnival🤩

MPPS celebrated Education Week on Tuesday with an Open Day extravaganza!!! We held a Creative Arts concert, held open classroom time, had a Book Fair in the new hall and Y6 were selling doughnuts on the Cola. Parents then had a picnic lunch with their children before school resumed for the afternoon. It was an awesome morning showcasing our school to our family and greater community 🌟

Today, our Stage 3 students were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts in class by receiving a Merit Certificate in an assembly in the new hall!!!

The Senior Band performed as part of the Festival of Choral Music at the Opera House to enormous audience applause. We are so proud of the continued efforts to perfect their performance. They represented our school with skill and pride.

Congratulations to the MPPS Opera House Choir for their fabulous performance last night. 3500 students from all over NSW showcased outstanding choral and instrumental music as part of The Festival of Choral Music. This Arts Unit festival is the culmination of months of rehearsals and singing and we are incredibly proud of our MPPS students. Ten magnificent songs performed beautifully in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall!!

Yesterday, our students had a fantastic time welcoming AFL coaches to Matthew Pearce Public School! They enjoyed learning new skills, playing fun games and discovering more about the exciting sport of AFL in a positive and inclusive environment.
They will be at our school on Monday afternoons for specialized clinics. See the attached brochure for more information!! 🏉
