It’s a little late but that’s a wrap on term 3. Always busiest and most chaotic term with the examinations and Eisteddfod and lots of school performances. Evie and Jemima both did excellently passing their exams with credits.

Eisteddfod was successful for our students with First places from Jemima (solo and duet) and Miriam (who also got 2nd,3rd and highly commended in other sections) Laurie did us all proud while looking stylish and receiving 2nd place in a duet with his brother Harry, in a section above his age group.

Probably my favourite performance was Over the Rainbow duet between Jemima and Chase (photographed here in costume).

All in all, an excellent return for term 3 and though I certainly don’t want to go back (phew) it’s nice to reflect on the results we have achieved together in the process of our musical learning.

This company is headed by Glen Wholohan who has 16 years of experience teaching music throughout different Conservatoriums, Schools and Academies. Each of these different organisations has challenged and developed Glen in different ways to help shape into the highly versatile musician and music teacher that he is today.

Glen specialises in Clarinet and Saxophone but has training on the Oboe and Flute. Throughout high school he taught himself to play the Drum Kit and honed skills through online courses. He learned Guitar through a friend at University of New England and skills on the Bass Guitar were deduced using this knowledge and the necessity of teaching this instrument.

All of these instruments are offered for study at Lotus Music School and all ages and skill levels are catered for.
