Today we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day.

This year's theme, Living Our Truth, celebrates the journeys Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children take as they grow, guided by culture, community and connection to Country. Today, we honour the incredible strengths, stories, cultures and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and recognise the importance of nurturing their dreams and identities so they can walk strong in who they are.

BECIS is excited to be hosting this year's Bathurst event at our service and cannot wait to welcome our community. Stay tuned for pictures of celebrations

United In Play- A BECIS familes/ parent-led advocacy group

What if playgrounds, community events and neighbourhood spaces celebrated all children’s play?
What if families never had to wonder if their child’s play would be welcomed, understood and included?
What if every child’s play was championed?

That's why we've created United in Play.
United in Play is a parent-led advocacy group facilitated by BECIS, bringing together BECIS families of children with developmental delays, disabilities and neurodivergent children who believe that play is every child's right.

Another busy week ahead for BECIS. Playconnect+ on Monday, Celebration of Aboriginal Children's Day on Tuesday. Start Strong Pathways Playgroup on Wednesday and Transition to School group and Lego Club finishing off the week.

Our MyTime session for this week has been postponed due to our event on Tuesday, so stay tuned for an added date towards the end of term.
