SAVE THE DATE Parent Speaker Initiative - Michelle Mitchell
You've Asked, We've Listened.
Parents and carers have consistently told us they want practical, evidence-based support to help navigate the challenges of raising resilient, confident young people. Following recent parent surveys, we have consistently been asked for more tools and resources to help with these topics. In response, we're proud to present our Parent Speaker Initiative featuring Michelle Mitchell, one of Australia's leading parenting and wellbeing speakers.
This free community event is designed to provide valuable insights, practical strategies, and real-world advice to help parents and grandparents support children and teenagers through today's increasingly complex world.
Topics will include building resilience, fostering strong relationships, encouraging adaptability, developing trust and self-confidence, and having meaningful conversations about wellbeing and counselling.
Michelle is a paid speaker, but the cost to facilitate this event is being met by the Catholic Schools bringing this opportunity to Bathurst. With no cost to you to attend, the only investment is your time.
We encourage all parents, grandparents, and carers to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect with our wider school community.
Join us on 23 June 2026 and leave feeling empowered with practical tools to support the young people in your life.

😁Who knew drop off could be so fun?
🏃♀️🏃Mrs Dwyer's morning drop off duty is the place to be. So much so, that many of our friendly little faces prefer the top drop off now due to the games and fun it includes!
🤹♀️Skipping is just one of the many activities Mrs Dwyer has the kids participate in. A great way to get the kids energy up at the start of the day, ensuring happy, healthy kids arriving into the classroom.
🫶 The fun and games are also an excellent way to build independence with drop off in the mornings.

Recently, St Phil’s was generously gifted 20 beautiful trees by members of the Cathedral Parish. The seeds were planted last year as part of our Laudato Si’ initiative and have been lovingly nurtured and cared for over the past 12 months.
On Sunday 17th May, the trees were blessed by Father Paul during the 10am Mass before being presented to our school and planted by parishioners alongside several of our St Phil’s families.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this meaningful and special gift to our school community. We look forward to watching the trees grow for many years to come and enjoying the shelter and beauty they will provide for future generations.

🏆🏉Nathan Irwin Shield🏉🏆
Yesterday, St Phil's stage 3 students ventured up the road to Stannies for the annual Stannies First XV vs St Phil's First XV 'Nathan Irwin Shield' game.
A long standing tradition between the school in memoriam of Nathan Irwin a former teacher of Stannies.
The game was filled with huge hits 😉, lots of laughs and played in great spirit. Stannies came away with their first win in 10 years winning 23-20.
We thank St Stanislaus' College for hosting this year's event and we look forward to hosting next year!
**A special good luck to Sonny, Isaac, Tave and Lincoln who are attending the Rugby Dio Trials tomorrow.
