We’ve had a lot to celebrate recently here at Bathurst Little Learning Centre.
A huge congratulations to our wonderful educator, Lilly, on recently completing her Diploma. We are incredibly proud of her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to her professional growth. Lilly’s achievement reflects her passion for providing high-quality care and education to the children at BLLC, and it’s been so lovely to see her share her knowledge and support her fellow educators along the way.
We have also celebrated a very special milestone for both Lilly and Abbie, who have each reached one year of dedication at BLLC. 💛 In that time, they have both made such a positive impact, building strong relationships with our children, families, and team, and contributing to the warm, nurturing environment we are so proud of.

🌟 A little appreciation post for Bathurst Little Learning Centre 🌟

Nolan absolutely loves daycare — he gets so excited to go, and that honestly makes my heart so happy 💕.

Being a working mum means sometimes you have to make tough choices, and daycare is one of those. As much as I’d love to keep him by my side every day, I’m so grateful he has a place where he feels safe, happy, and excited to learn and play. It makes drop-offs so much easier (and way less teary for both of us 🥹).

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Bathurst Little Learning Centre for making Nolan’s days so full of fun, laughter, and love 💛. Knowing he’s happy makes it a little easier for me to step into work and be the best I can for my clients, while still being the most supportive mum I can be.

Down Syndrome Awareness Month

This month, BLLC is celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Month.Down syndrome, also known as Trisomy 21, is a genetic condition that occurs when a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. This additional genetic material can affect a person’s physical features, development, and learning abilities, but it does not define who they are or what they can achieve.

Down Syndrome Awareness Month is a time to celebrate the unique strengths, talents, and contributions of individuals with Down syndrome. It’s also an opportunity to promote inclusion, educate others, and advocate for a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

At BLLC, we believe in recognizing and supporting the individuality of every child. This month, we will be continuing to share stories, and providing educational resources to help our community better understand Down syndrome and how we can all work together to create a more inclusive environment.

As a part of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, one of our educators, Abbie, has invited her mum and little sister, Harlow, to visit BLLC. Harlow has Trisomy 21 and brings so much joy, love, and laughter to everyone she meets. Her visit is a special opportunity for the children to meet someone with Down syndrome in a positive and engaging way.

During their time with us, Abbie and her family shared a bit about their journey, what makes Harlow unique, and answer any questions the children may have. This visit is just one of the many ways we aim to foster understanding, acceptance, and empathy within our learning community.

Let’s celebrate the beauty of diversity and continue to build a world where every person is valued for exactly who they are.

Excursion Time 🌳☀️🦺
This week, our biggest Little Learners embarked on an exciting excursion to our preschool as part of the start to our transition program.The visit was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore their new learning environment, meet some of the educators, and begin to build familiarity and confidence ahead of the big step into preschool.
During the visit, the children engaged in a range of fun and age-appropriate activities, including story time, creative play, and outdoor exploration. They were curious, enthusiastic, and showed great confidence as they explored the new spaces and interacted with both peers and educators.
This excursion plays a valuable role in supporting a smooth and positive transition to preschool. By giving children the chance to experience the preschool setting in a safe and supportive way, we build independence, and foster excitement about the next stage of their learning journey.
We’re so proud of our little learners and how well they embraced this new experience they truly are ready to take on the world, one step at a time!
