Last night the Central Coast Local Business Awards were held at Mingara.

The team got glammed up and went to celebrate with other early childhood services and businesses on the central coast and guess what …….

Bright Start was announced as

*Most Outstanding Early Childhood Service*

While we were up against many wonderful and unique services; and would have been happy for their educators and families should they have won; our amazing team and all they do was recognized as being the best in the coast for 2026.

This is a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, commitment and collaboration from an amazing team who put their hearts and souls into everything they do for our children and families and I couldn’t be more grateful and proud that this was recognized amongst the community.

This honour is not the end but only the beginning of the next part of our journey as we continue to work and grow and provide the best education and care for all our children and support for their families.

While I couldn’t be there in person to celebrate with the team, I was there in spirit and a FaceTime call allowed me to join the celebrations.

What an amazing team and an amazing effort!

Lest We Forget

Thank you to Mr Mackie from -Branch for coming to talk to us about the animals that were involved in various wars and about the memorial.

We learnt a lot and had the chance to ask some questions about medals and the cenotaph.

We had the opportunity to also lay our wreath at the memorial in remembrance of the soldiers and animals who went to war.

Our excursion allowed us to extend our programs and become active members of our community while also paying our respect and remembering those who sacrificed for us.

Whoo Hoo!!!

We have just been advised that our reapplication to the Sun Smart Program from The Cancer Council has been approved and renewed.

We have to update our membership every three years, including submitting information about our sun safe practices, programs and by submitting our policies for annual review.

Well done to all the team, children and families for helping maintain this accrediation!

From their last day of preschool together to their last day of year 6 - it is moments like this that are shared by families who will always be part of our Bright Start Family that make what we do so special.

We look forward to hearing all about the next part of your journey in high school Georgia and Sonny - we know you both will do great things!
