What an incredible learning opportunity for our Year 4 students!

On Monday 24 August, we were delighted to welcome Mr John McKechnie, the grandfather of one of our Year 4 students, who shared his experiences from his career as a Supreme Court Judge.

The students were captivated as he explained the levels of courts, the roles of the jury, defence counsel and prosecution, and even the significance of the traditional robes and wigs worn in court. He also shared some wonderful stories from his career.

Thank you, Mr McKechnie, for inspiring our students and supporting their learning through this exceptional experience.

Our Book Week Dress-Up Day will be held on Friday, 28 August. Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite storybook character and join in the fun of our Book Week parade.

Please remember to adhere to our school dress code:
• No makeup
• No jewellery
• No denim

If your character's costume does not comply with the school dress code, students may wear it for the parade but must bring a change of clothing to wear afterwards.

🏃‍♀️Year 3-6 Students: Please note that athletic training is scheduled after lunch. Students are advised to bring suitable clothing and footwear to change into prior to the session.

We can't wait to see all the creative costumes and celebrate the wonderful world of books together!

As part of our Book Week celebrations, our Year 3 students had the wonderful opportunity to meet author Dianne Wolfer yesterday.

Dianne shared her journey of becoming an author, giving students a fascinating insight into the world of writing and publishing. The session was both engaging and informative, inspiring our young readers and writers.
