A group of our Year 6 students recently visited the St Carlo Acutis Exhibition at CEWA with Mr Hewitt. The exhibition provided students with the opportunity to learn more about Blessed Carlo Acutis, his inspiring faith and his use of technology to share the Gospel. It was a meaningful experience that encouraged reflection, curiosity and discussion about living faith in today's world. Catholic Education WA

We are now into Week 2 of our Artist in Residence program with the talented Fi Bryce-Fasolo, and our students' artworks are really starting to take shape! Students have been exploring new techniques, expressing their creativity and collaborating on some amazing pieces. We can't wait to showcase the finished works at our Celebration of Learning later this term. Catholic Education WA Art Kids on the Hill

Before making their First Holy Communion last weekend, our Year 4 students had the opportunity to meet with Father Suresh for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. For some students, this was their first time receiving the sacrament, while others have continued to strengthen their faith through regular participation since last year. We are grateful to Father Suresh for guiding and supporting our students as they continue their spiritual journey. Catholic Education WA

While visiting Sandy Beach Reserve, our students were excited to spend some time enjoying the playground, making the most of this beautiful riverside space. From climbing and exploring to laughter and play, they loved every second of it! We are so fortunate to live, learn and play in such a stunning environment along the Swan River, where nature provides endless opportunities for adventure, connection and discovery. Our Years 1-6 students enjoyed a rich cultural learning experience along the banks of the Swan River with Justin Martin from Djurandi Dreaming. Through a Welcome to Country, Dreamtime stories, exploration of Noongar culture and heritage, and learning about the six Noongar seasons, students gained a deeper understanding of the rich history, knowledge and connection to Country of the Whadjuk Noongar people. Experiences like these help bring learning to life, fostering respect, curiosity and meaningful connections while embedding Indigenous perspectives across our curriculum. Last week our Year 1 students celebrated 100 days of school by dressing up as 100-year-olds! The fun was made even more special as they spent the day learning in our beautiful 100-year-old Mercy convent building. A century of history, a century of wisdom, and 100 days of learning all in one day! Catholic Education WA

Special thanks to Mario from 24:7 Youth Ministry for facilitating the Parent/Child Workshop in preparation for our Year 4 students receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion this Sunday.
It was a wonderful opportunity for families to deepen their understanding of this special milestone in their faith journey. Please keep our Year 4 students and their families in your prayers as they prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. Catholic Education WA 24:7 Youth Ministry
