Ocean Action in Art! 🌊♻️
The students of 1B worked together to create this colourful masterpiece using hundreds of plastic bottle lids collected through our school recycling hub. Through teamwork, creativity and a commitment to caring for our environment, they transformed recycled materials into a beautiful ocean-themed artwork. This project highlights the importance of reducing waste, reusing resources and protecting our oceans for future generations. Well done, 1B! 💙🐠🐢🌏

Our Year 2 students enjoyed a special visit from our parish priest, who shared all about his journey to becoming a priest. The children asked thoughtful questions, including why he became a priest, where he studied, how long he has been a priest, and what he enjoys most about his vocation. They were excited to learn that Saturday marked his 1 year anniversary of becoming a priest! It was a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about faith, service, and community.

On Wednesday 13th May, our Year 2 students went on an excursion to Rio Tinto Naturescape at Kings Park. They completed two guided tours, which gave them the opportunity to take part in outdoor activities such as lighting a fire with flint and steel, cleaning water for drinking, and learning how to tie knots with rope. Students also explored the changes in Kings Park’s natural environment before enjoying some free play at Naturescape. The highlight of the day was Paperbark Creek, where children took off their shoes and delighted in splashing, exploring, and connecting with nature in a hands-on and memorable way.
