RElax Program » Town of Bassendean 29/01/2022

EDIT:
***
Hi everyone, please note we just received new directions from the Town of Bassendean today (31/1) regarding changes to their operations. They have just confirmed they now require proof of vaccination (or relevant exemption) from all patrons entering the facilities. As we do not want to discriminate, we won't be running in-person dance classes for the RElax program at this stage. I am able to provide online solo jazz dance classes instead for those that may be interested in that as an alternative (via the RElax program). Solo jazz moves and footwork patterns are a great tool to develop coordination and can also be added to partner swing dancing at a later stage. I do understand that people may not be interested in this though. Should circumstances at Town of Bassendean change in future I can keep you posted. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi everyone, the Town of Bassendean has confirmed we can again teach a course of beginner swing dance classes this term (starting on Friday 4th Feb, at 6pm, Bassendean Town Hall, ground floor)! The course is 10 weeks and will again be geared toward complete beginners. Here is the registration link:
https://www.bassendean.wa.gov.au/community/community-services/relax-program.aspx
For anyone who did the course with us last year and who may wish to come back and learn the opposite role to what you did last time (lead or follow), you are most welcome to do that! Equally, if you want more practice at the beginner moves and are happy to repeat the course you're welcome to register. At this stage we aren't able to run a separate intermediate level class.

If you are feeling unwell on the day, please don't attend class as a courtesy to others. Please also bring and wear your face mask (covering both your mouth and nose), use the hand sanitiser & QR code check in provided in the foyer as you enter. If there are any changes or requirements from Town of Bassendean, we will let you know. In the event of a lockdown, we can provide online classes (where we will focus on learning and practicing solo dance moves & footwork, which can be incorporated into the partner dancing).

If you have friends or family who may be interested, please feel free to share the link!

RElax Program » Town of Bassendean This term will feature our regular health and fitness courses plus a new Swing Dancing course and Jewellery making workshops! Make sure you sign up early.
