I’m Ish*ta. I’m a photographer, and I’m taking the THM Instagram page out for a little wander!! Come along?? 💛

But first a little story.
I studied film and photography in university.
Took a detour and became a pastry chef - that’s a story for another time 😅
Then covid struck. I think all our lives in some way are going to be defined by a precovid and a postcovid era, no? Through some flash of lightning or just a blessing from the Instagram gods, I came upon this very page.
The Hosting Masterclass.
I didn’t have a space yet. I didn’t have a plan yet. But I felt an immediate pull to sign up nonetheless.

It changed my life.

I picked up my camera again, got back on the photography train and I’ve been on an adventure ever since.
It’s been a DREAM!!!!
I’ve LOVED championing soo many extraordinary spaces by fellow THMers.

I believe this with all my heart, I think we’d all agree, .co brings together the most beautiful people. Beautiful, creative, luminous, artistic humans who come together as a community like no other and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.

Ever grateful to be part of the THM family!!

I’m really looking forward to spending some time with you here. We can get into dreamy worlds created in spaces, a little peak behind the photography curtain, travel, and whatever else finds its way in.

Sink into the lounges at sunset.
Pull them closer when the temperature drops…
fire going, Tasmanian gin in hand.

Or head outside
firepit lit, BBQ on, marshmallows toasting,
stars putting on a show (no light pollution, just the good stuff).

There’s no TV here.
And honestly… you won’t miss it.

Entertainment looks a little different:
games, books, magazines, a portable speaker,
and conversations that go longer than planned.

Camp Nowhere 🫶🏽
Located in the Central Highlands on Tasmania’s Yingina / Great Lake.

Do nothing at Nowhere.

Such a beautiful project, a collaboration between Sarah and the owners, Ashley and Conrad.

The original fisherman’s shack has been carefully restored, with subtle nods to Ashley’s Canadian upbringing.

Can’t you just feel how perfectly the setting and the story have been woven together? Creating something pretty special for all of us to enjoy

It’s not just about the big spaces
it’s the little moments that make it 🤎

Nooks and crannies filled with books,
hidden drawings tucked into corners,
bursts of bright paint,
and our ever-changing graffiti wall.

We shift things slightly with the seasons…
but this will always be our favourite place to do absolutely nothing ✨

Rather than modernise for the sake of it, leaning into the home’s natural warmth: softening palettes, opening light, and adding mid-century touches that felt true to the space. Every decision aimed to honour the original mudbrick and let the house breathe again.

Aireys Inlet just does something to you 🌿

You’ll feel like you’ve driven hours from civilisation, but really, you’ve just left the daily grind and slipped into nature.

At Old Coach Retreat, the trees do the talking. No neighbour noise. No traffic hum. Just wind through the gums and that feeling of being completely, blissfully away...

To bathe or not to bathe???

A bath isn’t just plumbing.
It’s steam rising in the late afternoon light.
It’s a slow exhale after a long drive.
It’s the quiet ritual of soaking while rain taps gently on the roof.

For some guests, it’s unnecessary. They’ll shower quickly and head out exploring.
But for others, the couples escaping, the parents reclaiming a moment alone, the winter travellers chasing warmth, the bath becomes part of the story. The photo they post. The reason they book again.

In small spaces, every square metre must earn its place.
So ask yourself, is this a practical stay… or a restorative one?
Because a bath doesn’t just fill a room.
It creates a pause.

Hosts, do your guests actually use the bath?
Travellers, is it a deal breaker for you?

For me personally, I want a luxurious walk in shower and if a bath prevents this, I don’t want it. I’d live to get your thoughts….

The weekend away.
The girls’ trip.
The first family holiday in years.
