A huge thank you to Carly (Abigail & Archie's Mum) for providing such a wonderful Science experience for our Rockmelons yesterday! π§ͺπΏπ¬
Carly began by reading a fascinating story about tiny creatures, helping the children discover that there are microscopic worlds hidden in moss, leaves and even pools of water. The children then became little scientists as they explored the playground searching for patches of moss, which Carly collected for the investigation.
Using hand lenses, microscopes and a variety of natural specimens, the children enjoyed a hands-on exploration, observing the tiny worlds hidden within nature. The experience sparked curiosity, encouraged careful observation and inspired lots of questions and discoveries.
The excitement continued with a colour mixing and experimentation station, as well as colouring sheets that extended the learning experience.
To top off an amazing session, each child received a special Tiny World Science Certificate to celebrate their participation and enthusiasm.
Thank you, Carly, for sharing your time, knowledge and passion for science with our Rockmelons. It was such a fun, engaging and memorable learning opportunity, and we truly appreciate the wonderful experience you created for our children!
