Halloween Community Opportunities Wanted! 👻

With Halloween coming up, the children and educators at Barham Early Learning Service would love to hear about any opportunities to get involved in some Halloween fun within our local community!

We’re looking for local businesses, organisations or community members who may be planning something Halloween-themed that our children could safely visit or participate in, or that we can plan together.

If you have something planned, or would be happy to welcome a group of our children and educators, we’d love to hear from you!

Please comment below or get in touch with the service so we can explore what might be possible.

We’re looking forward to finding some fun ways for our children to connect with our community this Halloween!

Curious about nominating for our Board but not sure what it actually involves?

In short: you help oversee the direction and health of the organisation - things like budgets, strategy, and making sure we're doing right by families and staff. You're not involved in day-to-day operations at the centres.

It's a genuine time commitment, but you're not thrown in the deep end - training and support are provided from the start.

Come to our AGM (Tuesday 20th October, 7:30pm, via Teams) to ask questions in person, or grab your nomination form here: https://www.rree.nsw.edu.au/post/2026-annual-general-meeting

RREE is run by a volunteer Board made up of local people - parents, community members, professionals - who help guide the organisation's direction.

We're looking for a few more people to join them.

You don't need a background in early education. You do need to care about your community and be willing to learn - training is provided for everything else.

Nomination forms are available from the admin office ([email protected]). Our AGM is Tuesday 20th October, 7:30pm via Teams, if you'd like to hear more before deciding.

We're currently looking for nominations for our Board of Management.

We'd especially love to hear from people with a background in finance, project management, or construction - but honestly, if you're interested and willing to learn, we want to hear from you regardless.

No board experience necessary. Training is provided.

Come along to our AGM on Tuesday 20th October, 7:30pm via Teams, and ask us anything.

All the details here: https://www.rree.nsw.edu.au/post/2026-annual-general-meeting

We'd love to know - what has your little one been completely obsessed with lately?

🙋‍♀️ The question asked three times before it finally clicked.
🧩 The tower that fell four times before it stood.
🙊 The word tried out loud until it felt right.

These are the small moments that make up a child's learning ✏️ .. And they're happening all day, every day, often when you least expect them. 🪴

Our educators are watching closely, and capturing them for you through each child's individual Learning Journal in Storypark. So instead of "how was your day?", you get the actual story.

A Friday full of gratitude! 🤎☕

Today we were blown away by an incredibly generous act of kindness from a wonderful member of our community, who anonymously donated $100 to Gee’s Brew for the amazing team at Barham Early Learning.

While we completely respect your wish to remain anonymous, we couldn’t let this moment pass without expressing our heartfelt thanks. Your generosity brought so many smiles this morning - not only to our educators enjoying a well-deserved coffee, but also to the children who have such nurturing educators.

We are incredibly lucky to be part of such a connected, thoughtful and generous community. It is these unexpected acts of kindness that remind us just how special Barham is and how fortunate we are to work alongside families and community members who genuinely care.

From all of us at Barham Early Learning, thank you for making our Friday a little brighter. Your kindness is truly appreciated. 💫

Ps., Gee’s Brew, you’re amazing 🤩
