We had a yarn with Living Arts Canberra!

Jacinta and I recently sat down with Barbie Robinson from Living Arts Canberra to chat all about our new children’s book Our Dance.

We talked about the inspiration behind the story, how it celebrates First Nations culture, and the joy of dancing, connecting to Country, and storytelling through movement.

We’re bringing Our Dance to life through interactive cultural workshops — and we’d love to visit your preschool, childcare centre or school!

Created to celebrate First Nations culture, connection to Country, and the joy of movement, these vibrant sessions are perfect for little learners.

Still feeling the love after yesterday’s Our Dance book launch at Booktique Albury.

A huge thank you to Aunty for her powerful and grounding Welcome to Country — it was the perfect way to open the day and honour the story we’ve shared.

Thank you to the incredible team at for helping bring Our Dance to life and for organising such a special launch event.

To Mark and Michelle at Booktique — thank you for opening your beautiful space to us and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families and little readers.

And to our family and friends — your presence meant the world. Thank you for showing up, celebrating with us, and helping us mark this milestone with joy, laughter, and of course… a little bit of dancing.

We are so proud of Our Dance and feel truly grateful for the community that surrounds us.

To celebrate the release of Our Dance, we’re hitting the road with our brand-new workshop!

For a limited time, we’re offering Our Dance workshops on Thursday’s and Friday’s in the Albury/Wodonga area starting June 5th until July 4th!

Sessions we will have available are;

9.30am
10.30am
11.30am
12.30pm
1.30pm
2.30pm

These workshops will be vibrant, fun, and perfect for preschools, childcare centres and primary schools. We blend story, song and culture in a way that keeps kids moving, learning and connecting to Country.

Each workshop includes:
• A reading of Our Dance
• Dancing to our Our Dance song (now streaming on Spotify!)
• Cultural artefacts for kids to explore
• And a whole lot of joy, movement and cultural pride!

Whether you’re looking to celebrate culture, enhance your program, or create a memorable experience for your kids, this is it.
