Baralaba State School Baralaba State School is a Band 7, Kindy to Year 10 school situated just under two hours’ drive south west of Rockhampton.

The school caters for the diverse individual learning needs of one hundred plus students. As individuals need to be over the age of 13 to join Facebook, this page is to keep parents/guardians and members of the wider school community aware of upcoming school events. For the past 5 weeks, Year 1 to Year 6 students have been doing the Rock and Water Program. This program is to teach students practical anti-bullying strategies, self-confidence, self-awareness, self-control, alternatives to aggression, verbal and physical responses.

🐸 Year 9 & 10 Sewing – Frog Softies! 🧵

Today we started our frog softie project! Students learned how to cut out a paper pattern, transfer the pattern to fabric and carefully cut out their frog pieces.

Students were also introduced to hand sewing, learning how to thread a needle, tie a knot and practise the back stitch. 🪡

A fantastic first lesson developing practical sewing skills, accuracy, patience and creativity! 🐸✂️
