TAP Squad Strength & Endurance

The TAP Squad hit the gym today, working on their strength and endurance through squats, push-ups, sit-ups and burpees! 💪

The session finished with a friendly Boys vs Girls team challenge, bringing plenty of energy, teamwork and healthy competition. Great effort from everyone!

Australian School Library Day 2026

This year’s theme is “School Libraries: The Best Investment”, and we are proud to celebrate what our library brings to the Banora Point High School community.

We are fortunate to have a professionally staffed and well resourced library, helping provide equity for our students through access to books, eBooks and audiobooks, technology, research and digital literacy support, reading programs and welcoming spaces to learn and connect.

From classroom learning and senior study to Book Club, Distance Education and celebrations such as Book Week, our library supports literacy, learning and belonging across the whole school.

A strong school library is an investment in every student and our whole school community.

On 14 August, 45 excited Year 9 students headed to the EKKA. From thrilling rides and adorable animals to colourful showbags, delicious food, and impressive displays, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Project Based Learning (PBL)_
Julia Christie, CEO of Nail Snail has now launched our Semester 2 project, introducing the next group of young entrepreneurs to the process of making something old, new by sharing the journey behind her own innovation, the Nail Snail.

Project Based Learning (PBL)
For the past 20 school weeks, the Year 7 PBL students have been developing their projects titled ‘Make Something Old, New’. Last Tuesday, the class completed their projects with a Shark Tank–style judging session featuring mentor Julia Christie, CEO of Nail Snail.
Six groups were selected for judging, showcasing the products Holiday Hunt, Catch Mate, Ezy Soap, Your USB, Step Safe, and RazorPillar. Holiday Hunt received the award for overall best product and pitch, RazorPillar won best product, and Ezy Soap earned best presentation. Every group should be congratulated for the professionalism and creativity shown in their final pitches.
A huge thank you goes to Julia Christie for the time, expertise and enthusiasm she has invested in this project. We are incredibly grateful to have such a committed mentor and inspiring role model guiding our students.
