🌿 Balunjahli Culture Day 🌿

Our Balunjahli students enjoyed another fantastic Culture Day, this time heading out on the beautiful Tweed River for a special cultural cruise with Uncle Frank and Uncle Jason.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to connect with Country and learn more about local Aboriginal culture, history and the significance of the Tweed River and surrounding areas. Uncle Frank and Uncle Jason shared their knowledge, stories and cultural connections with the students, making the experience both meaningful and memorable.

It was wonderful to see our students listening, asking questions, learning and enjoying being out on Country together.

A huge thank you to Uncle Frank and Uncle Jason for generously sharing their time, knowledge and culture with our students. We are very grateful for these opportunities to strengthen our students’ connection to culture, community and Country. 🖤💛❤️

Another very special Balunjahli Culture Day! 🌿

A huge congratulations to Archer, who has spent this week in Mudgee representing the North Coast Rugby Union team at the NSW PSSA Rugby Union Championships.

The North Coast team played hard throughout the championships, competing in six games against some of the best primary school rugby union players from across NSW. It was fantastic to see the team finish their competition on a high with a great win in their final game!

What an amazing achievement to represent North Coast at state level and be part of such a fantastic sporting experience.

Well done, Archer! We are incredibly proud of you and the way you have represented Banora Point Public School and the North Coast.

Proudly supporting Bullying No Way: National week of action

This year, Banora Point Primary School will be participating in the Bullying No Way: National week of action, 17 to 21 August 2026.

Bullying No Way Week is a commitment being made by thousands of schools and supporters across the country. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to bullying prevention. It gives us an opportunity to connect with students, staff and school communities to implement workable solutions to prevent bullying.

The theme for this year's campaign is Small Acts, Big Impact.

It takes a community to address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.

Students can make a big impact through small acts of kindness and support for others being bullied. Trusted adults are there to guide children and young people as they learn how small, thoughtful actions can create a positive difference and encourage reporting of bullying.

This Bullying No Way Week, we’re encouraging you to embrace the theme Small Acts, Big Impact. Show kindness, support others and take meaningful steps to stand up against bullying.
