As part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality learning environments for children and families, our Goodstart Bondi Junction - Oxford Street South will be closing its doors on Friday the 22nd of May and relocating/transitioning our families to our recently renovated Goodstart Bondi West Centre.

We’re excited that many of our existing families will transition with us, bringing familiar faces along the journey and we can’t wait to meet some new families too!

Our centre children joyfully welcomed the Lunar New Year with a range of meaningful experiences!
They loved creating horse‑themed crafts, making vibrant lanterns, cooking dumplings, listening to traditional Lunar New Year stories, and learning about the significance of red envelopes.

Community art workshop in Bondi junction South

✨ Light in Darkness – Community Art Workshop ✨

We recently held an art workshop to bring our community together, centred around the theme “Light in Darkness.” Children and educators created beautiful fireflies and added them to our fairy lights, symbolising hope, connection and the strength we find in one another.
Art therapy has played an important role in helping us navigate big emotions and the impact of the sudden trauma our community experienced after the Bondi incident. Through creativity, we found a gentle space to express, reflect and heal.
We stand together in unity, and we will continue to support our families, children and educators in every way we can, with their wellbeing at the heart of all we do.

On December 3rd, our Bondi South team participated in the Kids and Traffic Early Childhood Road Safety Program, engaging in hands-on professional training. Through practical activities and discussions, we explored effective ways to teach road safety in a meaningful and age-appropriate manner.
Participating in this program not only enhances children’s learning but also equips our staff with valuable knowledge, strategies, and resources that we can incorporate into our everyday curriculum. This approach helps us create consistent and purposeful opportunities for children to develop safe habits, awareness, and confidence in real-life situations.
We are proud to continue strengthening our teaching practices while prioritizing the well-being of every child in our care. ❤️

From January 2026, all Australian families eligible for CCS will be guaranteed at least 3 days a week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised early childhood education and care.

This landmark change — the 3 Day Guarantee — replaces the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test and means:
✅ Eligible families can save thousands each year
✅ Every child can access vital early learning opportunities
✅ Certainty for families who are working, studying, or looking for work
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families receive 100 hours per fortnight (up to 5 days a week)

Big school adventures began 💡🙌

Our preschoolers, poised to take their next big step into primary school, embarked on an extraordinary adventure last week. They visited our sister centre, connecting with fellow learners who share their educational journey ahead. Together, they explored, created, and forged lasting bonds, igniting a sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventures to come. This week, our Bondi Junction North children followed suit, visiting Bondi Junction South and expanding their social horizons. We proudly witness our young learners blossoming into confident, curious, and compassionate individuals, ready to thrive in their next chapter.
