Our Year 10 History and Year 11 Modern History students participated in the WWI Living History Incursion as part of their study of World War I.

Students enjoyed a wonderful interactive experience, engaging firsthand with a range of historical artefacts.

Our facilitator's extensive knowledge and use of humour brought history to life, making the experience both informative and enjoyable.

Twelve hours. Four teams. Four books. One incredible challenge!

Our Year 6 and 7 students embarked on the ‘Write a Book in a Day Challenge’, racing against the clock to plan, write, illustrate and complete four original novels in just 12 hours!

Literacy skills in action; as characters developed, narratives were crafted and collaborative storybook ideas were brought to life.

Every page was created with purpose, raising funds and awareness for children with cancer, in hospitals across Australia, including Sydney Children’s Hospital.

What a wonderful success our inaugural Edible Book Festival was as we launched Book Week! Our students, families and staff showcased incredible creativity and culinary talent, transforming favourite storybooks into spectacular edible creations.

Following the judging, it was almost heartbreaking to slice up these incredible edible masterpieces, but thankfully, they found a delicious second life at our Primary and Secondary Bake Sale with all proceeds being donated to the Holy Monastery of St George, Yellow Rock.

We are proud of our students’ authentic demonstration of what it means to Act with Love, Seek to Learn and Pursue Growth outside of the classroom.

Last week, our Kindergarten students celebrated reaching 100 days of learning, growing and making memories at St Euphemia.

It has been a wonderful start to their journey, filled with new friendships, exciting discoveries and plenty of opportunities to learn and explore.

Our Year 12 students begin their Trial HSC Examinations on Monday, and the entire St Euphemia College community wishes them every success.

On Wednesday, Father Peter offered a special blessing, praying that our students would be granted wisdom, strength, peace and perseverance throughout this important time.

Last night, our year 11 students had the privilege of assisting the parish of St Sophia and Her Three Daughters through its “Feed the People” program.

This initiative is a wonderful example of faith in action, bringing people together in service of those in need within our wider community. We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Irenaeus for his ongoing support and creating opportunities for service and outreach.

On Sunday the 2nd of August our students were blessed to join hundreds of faithful from across the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia for the First Supplicatory Canon (Paraklesis) to the Most Holy Theotokos at the Cathedral of the Annunciation, marking the beginning of the Church’s preparation for the Feast of the Dormition.

Presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the service was a beautiful witness of faith and unity. His Eminence reminded us, “We honour the Most Holy Theotokos because, through her, our Lord Jesus Christ came into the world for our salvation.”

May the prayers of the Panagia continue to guide and strengthen all of us during this time.
