Library Lovers’ Day at Wattawa Heights PS

On Tuesday, 17 February, our school community came together to celebrate Library Lovers’ Day - a special morning dedicated to the joy of reading.

It was wonderful to see so many of our families join us to share stories, enjoy quiet reading time and celebrate a love of books alongside their children.

Moments like these highlight the strong partnership between home and school and the powerful role reading plays in supporting learning and imagination.

A big thank you to our parents and carers who attended and helped make the morning so special. We would also like to thank Miss Arou for organising this beautiful event and creating such a warm and engaging experience for our students and families.

We hope you enjoy these lovely snapshots from the day.

Our K-2 students had an absolute blast during their sport rotations this week!

Across the sessions, students enthusiastically practised overarm and underarm throwing, catching, running and jumping over mini hurdles. These activities focused on developing essential fundamental movement skills that build coordination, balance and confidence.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, teamwork in action and students encouraging one another as they challenged themselves and celebrated their progress. Well done, K-2!
