Family Day Care
About us:
Insight Family Day Care Scheme is privately owned and located in Bankstown. It is a network of experienced and registered educators who provide care for children in their own home. Educators have been carefully selected and supervised and operate under the Education and Care Services National Regulations. Educators and Coordination Units are accessed and rated against the National Quality Standard to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
What’s on offer?
• Monday – Friday
• 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Full-time/ Part time Position
Responsibilities:
• Overall day to day management of an allocated educator cohort
• Management of a schedule of home visits, follow up support and other means of communication
• Engage with families and children if present on visits
• Participate in the engagement and mentorship of educators
• Maintain administrative procedures
• Share responsibility with team members in scheme decision making
• Support the educational program and the processes of documentation for individual educators
• Contribute to the scheme Quality Improvement Plan in collaboration with the team
• Demonstrate positive, collaborative behaviors and communication, including the occasional difficult or challenging conversation
• Monitor and provide support to educators with compliance to regulatory requirements and determined quality benchmarks
• Assist in the training of new educators
• Participate in organised social gatherings or events, such as evening training nights, community playgroups or professional development opportunities
Essential Skills:
• Diploma qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within the Child Care sector
• Must have extensive knowledge of: Early Years Learning Framework and NQS and child protection legislation
• Must hold current National Police Check and Working with Children Check
• ACECQA Approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or above
• Current HLTAID0012 Certificate in Childcare First Aid Certificate & CPR
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
• Current Child Protection Certificate
• Must have excellent written and communication skills
• Computer skills is essential
• Must have valid Driver’s License
• Experience using Harmony software (not essential)
