Fire fighter James and his team came to visit our Year Ones to talk about the role of fire fighters. They showed us all the equipment in a fire truck and dressed Mrs Clapp up in their equipment. It weighs over 20kg! They answered lots of our interesting questions and we even got a turn to spray the hoses at road cones. It was an awesome incursion! πŸš’πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸ§―πŸ”₯🚨

Our Pre-Primary students have been developing their understanding of plants and gardening by caring for their special garden in the playground.

Through planting seeds, watering garden beds, and observing changes over time, they have learned about the basic needs of plants, including sunlight, water, soil, and air. Students have shown enthusiasm and responsibility as they care for their garden, while also learning about the importance of nurturing living things.

These experiences have provided valuable opportunities for hands on learning and helped students build a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.

We celebrated Wellbeing Week with plenty of fun, movement and positive energy!

🎢 Just Dance ran in the undercover area at lunchtime yesterday, and our students had a fantastic time dancing, moving and enjoying themselves with their friends.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for all their effort, enthusiasm and creativity throughout Wellbeing Week. Your commitment to supporting our students’ and staff wellbeing and creating positive experiences helped make it a great week!

In year one we are learning about Prayer in Religious Education.

We learnt how to use the labyrinth as a way to pray. We went outside and enjoyed some sunshine, walked the labyrinth and completed our own personal prayers in the nature scape.

Wellness Buddy Activity – 2J & 5J

2J and 5J had lots of fun getting creative with origami!

Our buddies worked together, helped each other out and enjoyed making their own colourful creations. It was lovely to see everyone having a go, sharing a few laughs and enjoying some quality buddy time.

Science Week 2026

This year’s theme for Science Week is β€œSeeds of Science: Nurturing Science for All.” πŸŒ±πŸ”¬

This theme invites students across Australia to explore the power of curiosity, inquiry and shared learning in growing scientific understanding. Just as seeds need the right conditions to grow, knowledge flourishes when it is nurtured, shared and applied to real-world and authentic challenges across all scientific disciplines.

To celebrate this year, our lower primary students created β€˜Cress Head Characters,’ our middle primary students designed and created seeds to be dispersed, and our upper year students designed and created blackout houses to investigate how seed plants grow towards light.

It has been wonderful to see the enjoyment from all our students this week and to watch their curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm for science grow. We hope these experiences have planted seeds of curiosity that will continue to grow long after Science Week has finished! 🌱✨
