🏑 Greater Western Region Hockey Finals 🏑
Maddi and Harriet joined seven other girls from the Kowree schools, Edenhope College and St Malachy's, to form a team for the Greater Western Region Hockey Finals.
The team competed against Warrnambool East Primary School and Hamilton and Alexandra College, playing each team twice throughout the day. The girls drew both matches against Warrnambool East and were unlucky not to come away with a win in either game. They were defeated by Hamilton and Alexandra College, but continued to improve and compete strongly as the day progressed.
To their credit, the girls played exceptionally well throughout the tournament. Considering that most of the team had never played competitive hockey before, they showed great determination, teamwork and resilience. In their second match against Hamilton, a side made up of experienced hockey players, the girls rose to the challenge and delivered a very competitive performance.
