Our kindergarten children continue investigating photography, exploring old cameras, looking closely at their different parts and discovering how they work.
They’ve also been experimenting with light and exposure, creating overexposed and black and white images while exploring how these techniques can change the way a photo looks and feels.

Our younger citizens spent time with our Kindy children, exploring their outdoor environment together. The Kindy children proudly showed them around, sharing their favourite spaces and experiences.

Our revamped cosy corner reflects the children’s growing interest in babies and this exciting new stage of learning. We’ve adapted our environment to nurture this interest, creating a warm, homely space where baby dolls can be cared for, encouraging empathy, connection and nurturing experiences. 🍼✨

With spring in full bloom, our kindergarten children enjoyed exploring When Will It Be Spring? during our visit to the Sts Peter and Paul’s Library.

Inspired by spring and the vibrant colours of sunflowers, sages potion play is reflecting the change of season as they enjoy mixing, pouring and experimenting with colour. Prompted with a variety of open ended materials we witnessed an array of potions in the making, exploring different tools to create with.

Our youngest citizens ventured upstairs to the Aura & Echo garden bed, where they discovered a pineapple, picked fragrant rosemary and transformed their treasures into magical potions.

Kindergartens Healthy Eating inquiry has expanded into the community recently walking to Hawthorne Garage for a hands-on excursion. Before setting off the children worked together to create a grocery list, thinking carefully about the ingredients and items we would need to support our healthy eating exploration.

As curious learners this experience will support the resourcing of their own learning as they gather inspiration for healthy recipes. We are excited to see how the morning meetings come to life with ideas sparked.
