A simple sponge sparked endless curiosity as children discovered its many possibilities through sensory play. Mixing soapy bubbles, fluffy shaving foam and bicarb soda for their potion creations, they watched with delight as textures changed, bubbles formed and reactions unfolded before their eyes.

Kindy were grateful for the opportunity to visit Sts Peter and Paul’s Library today. 📚✨Enjoying a dramatic story reading, exploring the library space with the chance to meet some of the wonderful teachers. This was a great experience that supports kindy in becoming familiar with their future school environment, with many visits to come we look forward to continuing this special connection with our school community.

Intentional placements, balanced blocks and pockets of imagination tucked into every corner.

Our potion play has transformed into a beautiful pond experience filled with lilies and stirring tools, inviting our young potion makers to explore and create outdoors. Using droppers, pipes and glassware, children transferred water and experimented with different materials. The combination of natural elements and open-ended resources sparked curiosit and inspired imaginative play.

During Reconciliation Week our children had the opportunity to further embed our practices through meaningful and engaging experiences. Through sensory exploration, clay work, mark making and storytelling exploring diverse ways of expressing ideas.
This was a special time of community and belonging, as children visited each other’s learning spaces, building relationships, sharing experiences and strengthening their sense of connectedness.

Through soft lighting, mirrors, contrasting colours and natural textures the willow studio is invited into a world of sensory exploration. Immersed in their environment our youngest citizens are encouraged to observe and express curiosity through this engaging visual stimulus.
