Our community is connecting through the magic of reading as we get ready for Book Week!
Our Kindergarteners had a wonderful visit to the Saints Peter and Paul’s Library as part of our exciting lead-up to symphonies of stories! 📚✨
It was a special opportunity for our little learners to connect with the Grade 5 and 6 students, who proudly partnered up with our Kindergarteners and shared the joy of reading together.

As an extension of the children’s interest in coral reefs we ‘welcomed ocean life education’ into our kindergarten space. As we delve into science week this was wonderful opportunity to have a hands on experience answering some of their wondering from their inquiry.

Goggles on, lab coats ready, and curiosity switched to maximum! Our young scientists are exploring scientific tools, observing closely, and watching their predictions come alive.
There’s nothing quite like hands-on discover, asking questions, making observations and seeing science happen right before their eyes! 🌟

In the quiet glow of the projector, little hands reached for something they couldn't hold, only light, only shadow. They stretched their imagination as their hands turned to animals soaring the sky, discovering that even the simplest moments can become worlds of wonder.
A reminder that sometimes all it takes is light, imagination and the freedom to explore.

Charcoal has taken the stage, our studios are slowing down to spend time with this unfamiliar resource exploring how it glides across the paper, catches against the surface, smudges with a touch and shifts between soft greys and deep blacks.

Poppy proudly wore a beautiful ghagra-choli, a traditional Indian outfit inspired by the detailed mannequin she helped design during kindy’s Costume Inquiry exploration. After exploring traditional clothing from around the world, it is beautiful to see Kindy confidently celebrating their learning and showing their enthusiasm for discovering different cultures.

Today marks our celebration of international Aboriginal and Torres straight islander children’s day, an opportunity for us to reflect and share our embedded morning meeting rituals. Gathering in our sage meeting place, Luna and sage connected in a small group to unpack what it means to contribute their voices and ideas, its effect on the day as they actively participate in decision making.
This meeting came alive as they discussed their favourite meeting places to sit with their friends, marking a space for the children to share stories while surrounded by Aboriginal markings and prompts for discussion. They plan to action this in the larger Luna and sage community extending eachothers ideas.

Today a celebration of culture, connection and empowering every child's voice because every voice matters, every story is important, and every child belongs. 🖤💛❤️

Luna's construction space has taken on an architectural focus, inviting children to think like designers, engineers and builders as they explore balance, structure and creative problem-solving.
With wooden slabs and tiles available as open-ended materials children are encouraged to experiment with in ways that challenge their thinking and inspire persistence.
Drawing inspiration from iconic landmarks around the world, including the Colosseum and the Sydney Opera House the space encourages children to observe architectural features, recreate familiar forms and imagine new possibilities of their own.
