This National Reconciliation Week, we acknowledge the importance of truth-telling, respect and working together to create a more equitable future for all Australians.
At Harding Miller Education Foundation, we see every day how education can empower young women to grow in confidence, pursue their goals and create meaningful change within their communities.
We are proud to support scholars from diverse backgrounds across Australia, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young women whose leadership, culture and resilience continue to inspire us.
Reconciliation is a shared journey - one built through listening, learning and taking action. This week reminds us that creating opportunities for young people through education is one important way we can help shape a stronger, more inclusive future.

✨ Careers in Focus: Simone Kippax, Solicitor ✨
From missing out on her dream uni course to becoming a solicitor and advocating for vulnerable communities, Simone’s journey proves that there is no “perfect” pathway to success.
Our scholars heard firsthand about Simone’s inspiring career journey through social work, child protection, investigations and ultimately law - all while balancing full-time work, raising two children and studying online as a mature-age student.
Simone shared honest insights into the realities of working in law, overcoming setbacks, navigating burnout and the importance of communication, resilience and backing yourself even when things feel impossible.
💬 “No matter what happens, just keep going.”
Thank you, Simone, for your honesty, humour and powerful advice. We are so grateful for the incredible work you do advocating for people with disabilities and vulnerable children and families.
