🌏 A Warm Welcome Back to St Margaret’s Rikkyo Elementary School!

We are delighted to welcome students and staff from St Margaret’s Rikkyo Elementary School, Tokyo, once again as they join us at the College this week.

This annual exchange brings a wonderful energy to our primary campus, sparking cross-cultural connections and building friendships that last long after the visit ends. The girls are already settling in with their Emmanuel buddies and even met our Therapy Dog, Amber, shortly after their arrival.

In addition to taking part in regular classes, our visitors will participate in a range of cultural activities and even join our primary Book Week Parade on Friday. We look forward to a memorable week of learning and laughter together!

Kendama: precision, balance and patience!

On Tuesday, our Year 8 students took part in an engaging Kendama workshop to bring their Japanese studies to life.

Students had a fantastic time working through various catching and balancing techniques, progressing from basic cup catches to more complex spike manoeuvres during this hands-on session with the traditional skill toy.

🏐 NCIS Volleyball Championships

Our teams were looking sharp ahead of the NCIS Volleyball Championships today! Wishing them all luck - we know they will represent Emmanuel with pride.

🏄‍♂️ Training like Pros!

13 students headed to the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre in Casuarina last week to train like elite athletes at their world class Olympic facility.

Across two packed days, students worked with expert coaches to sharpen their skills through video analysis, goal setting, gym work and skate/trampoline cross training. They even got to experience pro level recovery with hot/cold plunge pools and saunas!

Feedback from the camp has been extremely positive; from refining technique to building confidence in the water, everyone came home with new skills, stronger friendships and incredible memories.

Surf’s up!

After a brief delay this morning, our students arrived at the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre and jumped straight into the action!

From honing their skills on the water with elite coaches to rubbing shoulders with pro surfers on site, the energy has been sky-high. And when they’re back on land? You'll find them tearing up the world-class indoor skate park and getting massive air in the trampoline gym!

The crew even squeezed in a bonus surf session today, making every single minute count!

We can’t wait to see what day two brings!

✨ Connecting and learning together!

Last week, our Principal, Mr. Robert Tobias and Chaplain, Rev. Richard Browning, were in Perth for the Anglican Schools Australia (ASA) Conference. Joined by representatives from the Grafton Diocese and our fellow diocesan schools, it was a wonderful time of worship, reflection and connection.

This year’s theme, "Grace-full Hospitality: Anglican Schools as Expressions of God’s Generosity", focused on how school leaders can steward their gifts to welcome, serve and love their school communities well.

We look forward to seeing the inspiring ideas they bring back to enrich our campus!

Shoutout also to “Deja Brew” (Max R., Lila M., Coco B. and Mackenzie H.) for making it all the way to the semi-finals!

📚 Exploring Emmanuel: Year 7 Experience Day!

Today we were thrilled to host our Year 7, 2027 cohort for an exciting preview of secondary school life.

Following a warm welcome from Director of the Secondary School, Mr Matthew Fitzgerald, students jumped straight into hands-on taster lessons across English, Science, History, Mathematics and Visual Arts.

A special thank you to our Year 11 students for stepping up as mentors and helping the Year 6s feel right at home. We can't wait to officially welcome the class of 2027 next year!

💐 International Day of Friendship 💐

Our International Day of Friendship Flower Stall was a blooming success this morning, so much so that we completely SOLD OUT!
A huge thank you to everyone who dropped by this morning to spread kindness across our College while raising funds for Zonta Clean Birthing Kits.

WE HAVE GOT GREAT NEWS!

Because the demand was so high, the amazing team at Prime Flowers has kindly donated even more fresh blooms so we can run a second stall this afternoon!

If you missed out during morning drop off, make sure to stop by during Primary Parent Pick Up to grab a stem or a bunch:
