Ballina Family History Society

Ballina Family History Society DNA group meetings bi-monthly. Volunteers staff the library Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday from 10am to 4pm (except 1st Saturday).

Resource library for those researching their family history ** Records on local area cemeteries, birth, death and marriages, journals, CDs, microfiche, books & Findmypast access ** Monthly meetings with guest speakers. The Society meets monthly on 1st Saturday (except January) at 2 pm at the Players Theatre in Swift Street, Ballina. These meetings generally involve guest speakers or seminars or member participation.

As part of Library and Information Week, join us as we join libraries across New South Wales in celebrating the NSW State Library's 200th anniversary 🎉through the Open Doors, Open Books, Open Minds open day on Thursday 30 July.

The initiative, delivered by the NSW Public Libraries Association (NSWPLA) in partnership with the NSW State Library, invites communities to discover the many ways today's public libraries support learning, creativity, wellbeing, digital inclusion and community connection.

What better way to connect than by discovering the benefits of library membership! This July and August, we're proud to be taking part in the Open Doors, Open Books, Open Minds statewide membership drive.
