Poetry and Public Speaking Competition

Lismore Eisteddfod
Congratulations to all of our students who competed at the Lismore Eisteddfod last week. Year 3, the School Band, the School Choir and the School Dance Club all won first place in their sections!

Saint Francis Xavier Choir at Saturday Mass

Last Saturday, our wonderful Saint Francis Xavier Choir had the privilege of leading the music at the Vigil Mass, accompanied by Chris Hosie.

A huge thank you to all of our choir parents and families for supporting the children to be part of this special opportunity. Your support makes these experiences possible, and it is so special to see our students sharing their voices and musical talents with our parish community.

Last Friday, Year 4 students participated in 'Accendere'.
Accendere means to 'switch on', kindle to catch fire, light to strike, to produce/spark the flame.
The students rotated around 3 activities which reflected the theme of friendship. The rotations included what makes a good friend? Who is my neighbour? and How to be a good friend?

100 Days of Kindergarten
Yesterday we celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten! 💯 Our little learners have grown so much over the past 100 days, building friendships, learning new skills, and creating wonderful memories along the way. We had a fantastic day filled with fun activities, afternoon tea with loved ones, laughter, and plenty of smiles.

Last week, our students celebrated NAIDOC Week 2026 by creating a beautiful whole-school mural over three days.

Beginning with a special assembly celebrating this year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” students learnt about the Indigenous history of Ballina and the stories and symbols behind Indigenous art while contributing to this meaningful project.

A huge thank you to Fiona and Uncle Brian for sharing your knowledge, stories and artistic talents with our students. We also thank our staff for their amazing efforts in creating our deadly doors and helping bring our NAIDOC celebrations to life. 🖤💛❤️💙💚🤍
