πŸ† Celebrating Sporting Success πŸ†

There have been plenty of sporting achievements across the Ballarat Grammar community recently, and we're proud to recognise just a few.

Students continue to shine on the national stage, with Mabel and Sadie representing Victoria in the SSV U18 Soccer Team, and Emily helping Victoria Country claim the U16 National Basketball Championship.

Over the weekend, we saw Old Grammarians Maggie (2025) and Claire Mahony (2024) make their AFLW debuts, with Essendon and North Melbourne respectively, an outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to all of these talented athletes. We look forward to celebrating many more sporting achievements from across our community throughout the year. πŸ€ŽπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ‘

One hundred days older and wiser!

To celebrate 100 days of Prep we hosted a pizza party where students came to school the night before the big day in their pyjamas and turned their classrooms into a Winter Wonderland with Christmas blow ups, disco dancing, glow sticks, cozy story times, and inside play!. On the day of the celebration, they dressed up as what they think they might look like at 100 years old. We're so excited to see what is next to come for our Preps as they continue their journey at Ballarat Grammar!

Our Middle and Senior School community came together yesterday for the annual Spirit Week Eucharist, celebrating faith, service and school spirit.

During the service, we also farewelled our President of the School the Right Reverend Garry Weatherill, thanking him for 15 years of wisdom, encouragement and care for generations of Grammarians.

Students shared how they had been inspired by the messages shared by the Bishop in sermons and words of encouragement. "Bishop Gary, in honour of the time you have gifted to our school community, the school would in return like to gift you a watch, to mark the significance of your generosity and thank you for all of the hours you have graciously donated to us. Whilst this watch will continue to measure time for you, your contribution to our community will never be measured simply by time; it is in fact immeasurable. Your warmth and humanity will be felt for years to come, and we are so thankful to have felt your presence here for so many years. So, on behalf of all grammarians, old and new, Thank you."

🌳 National Tree Day provided an opportunity to reflect on the important role trees play in both our environment and our School community.

One of our most meaningful moments for students is our Seed to Tree Ceremony, where some of our youngest students gift a seedling to Year 12 leavers, symbolising growth, connection and the educational journey that begins with small beginnings and flourishes over time. 🌱

Across our campus, many named trees also stand as living reminders of the people and cohorts who have shaped our community, offering shade, shelter and stories for future generations.
