Next week is Book Week at Lumora, and we want to see everyone dressed up as their favourite characters! 📚✨

Families and little ones are all welcome to join in the fun.

We’ll be celebrating all week with story corners, author of the day, and a book parade on Thursday 27 August 🎉

Dress-up day is Thursday for the parade, so start thinking about your costumes. We can't wait to see them 🥰

Last week for NAIDOC Week, our little learners explored the history and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through a series of hands-on activities 🎨🪃

Here's what the kids got up to:

🎨 Dot painting with leaves, discovering how dot painting is used to tell stories and connect to Country
🪃 Boomerang making, exploring shape, culture, and creativity
🖐️ Aboriginal flag painting, a meaningful way to recognise and respect First Nations identity
🤝 Collaborative handprint wall art, every child contributing to something bigger than themselves

Through each activity, the children developed a genuine appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures while building creativity and a sense of belonging. At Lumora, we believe raising curious, respectful, and open-hearted children starts with moments like these 🌿

Exciting news!

You may have already noticed things starting to look a little different around the centre. That’s because Rise and Shine is now Lumora Early Learning Centre.

This is a new name for our centre, but not a change to the care and philosophy at the heart of what we do.

Lumora reflects our belief that early learning should help children build skills for life. Through The Lumora Way™, we bring that belief into everyday care, play, routines, and relationships.

To our existing families, thank you for being part of the journey so far. To new families, welcome to Lumora.
