📚❤️ BOOK WEEK 2026 – WHERE’S WALLY? ❤️📚

What an amazing Book Week we’re having at Sesame Kids! 🌟

Our educators certainly got into the spirit today, with plenty of familiar red-and-white stripes popping up around the centre! 🔴⚪️👓 A whole group of our team and a couple of children transformed into Wally, which made for lots of laughs as the children tried to spot them throughout the day — Where’s Wally? More like… Where AREN’T the Wallys?! 😂

We absolutely love seeing our children and educators celebrating their favourite books and characters and sharing the joy of reading together. 📖✨

A huge thank you to all of our families for getting involved in making Book Week so much fun. We love seeing all the incredible costumes and the excitement on the children’s faces! ❤️

We endeavour to continue to grow and learn even as educators, which is why we hold monthly team meetings to preach what we practice! 🦺🥽

During our last team meeting, we reflected on child safety and the importance of communication. This turned into a fun activity where the educators paired up and had to draw a shape without telling the other person what kind of shape it was. 🌙▪️🔻

It was a great evening of learning, enhancing knowledge and sharing laughs!👏

We’re excited to celebrate Book Week next week at Sesame Kids! 💛

We’d love for all of our little book lovers to join in the fun by dressing up as their favourite book character all week! 📖🦸‍♀️🦖👑

It could be a much-loved character from a favourite story, a classic book, or even a character from a book they’ve recently discovered. The possibilities are endless! 🌈

Most importantly, there’s no pressure to buy anything new — homemade costumes, simple outfits and things you already have at home are absolutely perfect. And we have costumes available at the centre in each room. We want the children to have fun, get creative and celebrate their love of books! ❤️

We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful characters who visit us! 📚✨

Dogs are apart of many families lives. 🐶

We were fortunate enough to have a guest speaker come to our service to teach the children around approaching an unknown dog and prompts to use if wanting to approach.

The children were highly engaged throughout the session and were offered the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice!

Things to consider when approaching an unknown dog
🐕Always ask permission from the owner before approaching
🦴Avoid petting a dog when eating food
🐾Give extra cuddles to your furry family at home

Did you know we offer OSCH here at Sesame kids?🫣

What’s even more exciting is our school holiday programs that we run especially for OSCH!

During the school holiday program that just passed, the OSCH children went on an excursion to the local supermarket to pick out fresh fruit and vegetables! 🚌🥦🥕

Not only was this an exciting adventure out it included math skills to see how much each item cost and counting how much of each item we needed! ➕➗✖️
