💯🎉 100 Days of Foundation! 🎉💯

Today our Foundation students celebrated an exciting milestone - 100 days of school!
To celebrate, the students came dressed as if they were 100 years old and they looked amazing! We had lots of laughs seeing everyone’s creative costumes, grey hair, glasses and walking sticks as they transformed into our “100 year old” students for the day.

The children enjoyed a fun filled day of activities and learning experiences all centred around the number 100. It was wonderful to see them celebrating how much they have grown, learnt and achieved in their first 100 days of school.💛

Yesterday, we welcomed David Miller, an MSPS student from 1955–1962, back to Macarthur Street to record the third episode of our Macarthur Memories podcast.

As we toured the school together, David took us on a fascinating trip down memory lane, sharing memories of his teachers and the many things he loved most about his time at our school.

Our school captains, Cruze and Emily, were amazed to hear how much school life has changed over the years. They found it hard to believe that students once wandered home for lunch without signing out, or that one of their daily jobs was carrying wood from the basement to fuel the pot-belly heaters in the classrooms.

Every Friday is Friday Fun Day in OSHC! Each week, children celebrate the end of the week with a shared treat together. So far, we’ve enjoyed hot chocolates with cookies, ice cream sundaes, milkshakes with donuts, pancakes, and pizza!

Wow, what a busy Friday!!

This morning we welcomed our wonderful mums, aunties, grandparents and other special people in our students’ lives for our Mother’s Day activities. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying quality time together, taking part in activities and creating special memories.

Today also saw selected students from Grade 3-6 represent the school at the Sovereign Division Cross Country. Despite the horrendous weather conditions, our students showed incredible determination and resilience, never once complaining and giving it their all. We are so proud of each and every student for their effort and positive attitude. 👏

A huge thank you to all of our families, staff and students for making today such a special one!

We hope all of our Mother’s and Grandmother’s enjoy their special day on Sunday. 💐 🥰
