Since 2014 my body has been under stress due to a variety of reasons beyond my control and in every effort, I have attempted to take care of myself. However, this all culminated in some significant health issues from late 2016 through to 2017, including a recent diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. My specialist and GP, fully aware I am not the sort to resort to medications (unless entirely necessary) supported my choice to take some ketones. Why ketones?
Well, in all honesty, I didn’t really know why myself, other than a friend from school mentioned that she was taking a powder form of ketones which was assisting her with mood, clarity of mind (less foggy brain), weight loss and less pain in her knee which had been an ongoing issue. Coming from the Fibromyalgia perspective, I chose to ask her more about her knee and investigate a little about the benefits of ketones, and then commenced a 5-day trial to see if ketones had any benefit for me.
What did I have to lose??
After 5 days, I ordered a month worth of ketones. Why? Because in 5 days, the first thing I noticed was I woke in the morning without the foggy, lethargic brain that comes with fibromyalgia. I also noticed my joints were less sore and I could move quicker in the mornings and throughout the day, my sleep was more settled and deeper, and I experienced an increase in energy. After a month, these benefits amplified along with some weight loss. Then, I thought, is this just me or what? The test came when I failed to order my next supply of ketones before my current supply ran out and I was without ketones for just over a week. During this time, my sleep became disturbed, my painful, stiffened joints returned, fatigue hit and my brain was unable to kick start itself in the mornings. Honestly, I felt like ‘crap’!
Now, back on ketones I feel fabulous. I have had my GP check them out, along with one of my specialists. The best thing is when your family notice the change in you as well. I am continuing to hear the benefits from others on therapeutic ketones including, fat loss, reduced brain fog, strength gain, clearer skin, muscle preservation, increased focus, better mood, better sleep, better digestion and fast and sustained energy.
So at least I’m not a lunatic and that ketones do have several therapeutic benefits.
