Year 1 and 2 Students Get Creative with Clay 🎨🐟
Our Year 1 and Year 2 students enjoyed a special visit from clay artist Jac Chorlton this week.
Working alongside Jac in their Art lessons, students learned clay modelling techniques as they created their very own clay fish. From shaping and sculpting to adding unique details and textures, students loved getting hands-on and exploring their creativity.
A big thank you to Jac for sharing her expertise and inspiring our young artists. We can't wait to see the finished creations!

John Button Shares His Story with Year 9 Students.
Today, our Year 9 students had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker John Button as part of their Civics & Citizenship studies on the Principles of Justice.
John shared his powerful personal story of being wrongfully convicted at the age of 19 for a crime he did not commit. His experience, which later became one of Western Australia's most well-known miscarriages of justice, provided students with a unique and thought-provoking insight into the justice system and the importance of due process.
Hearing firsthand about John's journey encouraged students to think critically about the legal system and the role it plays in protecting the rights of all citizens.
We thank Mr. Button for taking the time to share his remarkable story and valuable lessons with our students.

Step back in time with 1M! ⏳✏️
As part of their History unit “Past and Present”, our Year 1 students travelled back in time to explore what school life was like long ago. From chalkboards and wooden desks to slates, ink wells and quill pens, students discovered just how different classrooms used to be!
They had lots of fun creating portraits with makeshift quills and ink, learning about old-fashioned toys like marbles and pick-up sticks, and imagining what it would have been like with very strict teachers and no modern technology.
A wonderful hands-on learning experience helping students understand how life has changed over time while having plenty of fun along the way!
