A huge thank you to our wonderful Kindergarten Families for your incredible generosity and support of The Crew Rockingham 🩵

As part of Homelessness Week our Kindergarten children learnt about kindness and the importance of helping others within our community. Your generosity has provided a wonderful learning opportunity for the children to see these values in action and understand how even small acts of kindness can make a difference. We truly appreciate your support and generosity! 🩵

🌟 Celebrating Educator Day – 2nd September! 🌟

We would love to invite all our wonderful families at Goodstart Baldivis to help us celebrate Educator Day on Wednesday , 2nd September! 💕👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Our educators work so hard each day to nurture, support, encourage and create special memories with your children, and we would love to celebrate the amazing impact they have on our children’s lives.

💛 A special invitation for our children:
In the office, we have set up a special space where your child and with your help can create a picture for their educators. They might like to draw:

🎨 A picture of their educators
🌈 A favourite moment they have shared with an educator
💭 A special memory
❤️ Or simply something they love about their educator

We would love to fill our space with the children’s beautiful drawings and words of appreciation as a special surprise for our educators on Educator Day.

Please pass it onto Rossann Sally or Emma in the office so we can place it on our wall for everyone to see!

📚✨ What a wonderful week it has been celebrating Book Week here at Goodstart Early Learning Baldivis! ✨📚

This year’s Children’s Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories,” celebrates the wonderful collection of stories, characters and adventures that inspire children to read, imagine, explore and learn. 💕📖

Our Nursery children discovered the much-loved stories Dear Zoo and Where Is the Green Sheep? through engaging experiences in the tough trays, along with creating their very own green sheep artwork. 🐑💚

Our Junior Toddlers had a wonderful time dressing up as their favourite characters and exploring Old MacDonald Had a Farm, bringing the story to life through imaginative play. 🐄🐖👩‍🌾

Our Senior Toddlers met The Very Hungry Caterpillar! 🐛 The children explored a sensory trough filled with spaghetti, using it as pretend caterpillars. They loved touching, moving and exploring the materials while using their imaginations and developing their sensory skills.

Our Kindy children enjoyed dressing up throughout the week and sharing their favourite books with their friends. Today, after reading We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, the children put on their chef hats and enjoyed baking delicious teddy bear cupcakes! 🧁🐻

It has been such a special week filled with stories, creativity, imagination, connection and lots of wonderful learning. 💕📚

A big thank you to all our families for helping make Book Week such a memorable celebration! 🌈✨

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.

Take another look through your What & When for Families guide to explore age-appropriate activities and learning ideas you can try together.

🔬🌈 An Amazing Week of Science at Goodstart Early Learning Baldivis! 🧪✨

We have had an incredible week celebrating Science Week, with our children enjoying a variety of hands-on, engaging and exciting science experiences!

Science experiences provide children with opportunities to develop and practise many important skills and attributes, including communication, collaboration, teamwork, perseverance, analytical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving. 💡🧠

👶 Nursery 1 & 2 explored sensory experiences using food-based materials, allowing the children to safely investigate different textures, smells and tastes as they explored through their senses. 👃👅✨

🦖 Junior Toddlers went on an exciting journey of discovery as they explored dinosaurs, fossils and insects, encouraging curiosity, observation and investigation. 🦕🐜🔍

💧 Senior Toddlers became little scientists as they experimented with sink or float, explored colour mixing, and investigated the effects of salt and baking soda on melting and breaking ice, using wooden hammers to help with their experiments! 🧊🎨🔨

🌱 Kindy children learned about the life cycle of plants, conducted their own science experiment and created an exciting erupting volcano! 🌋🌱

It has been a wonderful week filled with curiosity, discovery, experimentation and learning through play. We love seeing our children asking questions, making predictions, testing their ideas and discovering how things work! ❤️🔬

👏 A big well done to all our little scientists for their enthusiasm and wonderful participation throughout Science Week!

Thank you to all of our wonderful families who joined us for our recent Kindy Information Night! It was fantastic to see such a wonderful turnout and to have the opportunity to connect with families, share information and answer questions about your child’s Kindy journey.

We truly appreciate your time, enthusiasm and support. Your involvement plays such an important role in creating a strong partnership between home and Kindy. Thank you for making the evening such a wonderful success we look forward to an exciting year ahead together!
